Buddahwood

In a previous topic (SOTD Oct. 28) ajmc was asking what Buddahwood was. Well this is a plant/tree from Australia also known as False Sandalwood or Buddah Sandalwood. Its scientific name is Eremophila mitchellii.

Just thought to share this.

Buddhawood - although a woody note, is very very different from sandalwood.
It is darker in colour - and in scent.
Has a much less subtle aroma than sandalwood, it's drier and with a hint of smoky note.
It's really gorgeous!
In Dior Addict I can smell a bit of Buddha wood in the base. If you can detect a woody note at the base of this perfume, and manage to discern it from the other notes - Buddha wood it is!
