Making a Good FRAGRANCE  Great !

What cologne do you own thats just a tick shy of being a truly great fragrance ?

What is the missing component or note that would take the scent to new heights ?

For me Bel Ami Hermes needs more Vanilla and Amber in the basenotes to make it more desirable and wearable.

Also,... and I know I'm going to catch it now- Habit Rouge would be less feminine and better suited as a masculine

fragrance if it had just a touch more rosewood or some kind of a slightly woody base that would balance out the

powdery drydown. Maybe a bit more Patchouly .....sorry if this is blasphemy.

There, I said it and its just my opinion. So now I'll listen to yours in hopes that I can learn from your comments

Most can be made GREAT instead of good by giving them more longevity ...

Especially the citrus scents.
