Best choice for a winter scent

I already have a few fall/winter scents of excellent calibre, in the form of Antaeus, BDP, Gucci Pour Homme, and Rocabar. I am looking to add another, based on the few I mentioned above. If anyone has alternate suggestions, please feel free to mention them.

I would personally look into buying a warm vanilla oriental. You already have a lot of masculine scents.

A vote for Piper Nigrum, but would add you should also sample and consider Cuiron, Visit and Burberry Brit for Men.

I voted for Habit Rouge, but consider Zino.

I'd like to second Teflondog's suggestion of an Oriental with some vanilla. On my skin, the vanilla in Habit Rouge actually becomes too pronounced. You may be luckier. Heritage might also be worth checking since I find a fair amount of vanilla in that one, too. I find both Habit Rouge and Heritage to project a goodly amount of sillage, which limits their usefulness for me. If you can pull off BdP (which strikes me as having even more prominent sillage.), then neither of the Guerlains should prove too daunting.

My #1 winter scent (outside the office) will once again be Carven Homme--on me, cedary woods, spice, vanilla, and maybe the slightest hint of tobacco. In fact, I'm not waiting for winter--I just put some on! But you do have to wait for the drydown on this...it has to settle.

Oh man--I can't believe it--I just checked Imagination Perfumery, and this stuff is going for rock-bottom prices! Maybe I should get another bottle.

Voted for Habit Rouge but you may also consider Opium EDP.

Try Jacomo de Jacomo, Trumper's Bay Rum, and Francesco Smalto.

Dunhill '34 also warms up winters.

For a full bodied oriental, go with Minotaure.

Have fun sampling,

Mario.

I voted for Piper Nigrum. Actually I think Piper Nigrum IS a bit of a "vanilla Oriental" scent. Despite the mint and pepper, there is a sweet base. I don't know what the actual notes are, but I was surprised the first time i tried PN at how it was nothing like what I expected. Much sweeter and alot like a warm mug of herbal tea.
