Luscious Cargo

Hi everyone

I just wanted to tell you a very negative experience I had with Luscious Cargo lately.

Living in Israel, it is very difficult to find niche fragrances so I order (or swap) a lot of samples. In the past I ordered some times from Luckyscent and Beautyhabit, and with both I had very good results. I decided to try also the samples program of Luscious Cargo, that sells 7 samples for $18 (which includes the shipping to Israel). I ordered 7 samples the 16th of August and received inmediately an e-mail confirming my purchase. 9 days later, August 25th I also received an e-mail saying that my order has been shipped. I thought it's a bit weird that it took them 9 days to ship the package, but ok...
Well, I received the package today, September 26th, and to my big surprise I found out that the date of shipping on the package is the 1st of September, not August 25th.
Not only that, but 3 of the 7 samples are not what I asked for !!!!!!! They are from the same designer, but just another fragrance !!!! I can understand that sometimes they don't have the fragrances that I asked for, but they can at least ask me which ones I would like instead. They had 15 days to ask me !!!!!!!!

Anyway, I'm really mad right now >

My recommendation, at least to those living outside the USA: stick with Luckyscent and Beautyhabit.

I never had that experience with Luscious ... but Aedes does that to me all the time! I ordered samples from them a week ago and two of them were "Fieno" by SMN, and "Uomo" by LV. When I got them, those 2 were just crossed out and someone wrote in "substituted". So the 2 substitutions were "Uomo" by Carthusia (which I hate) and Diptyque Philosykos (which I've sampled a million times).

I share in your pain. When you're paying upwards of three bucks a sample, you should at least get what you want. I feel they should at least e-mail you, if not call you, to see if the substitutions are to your satisfaction. Meaning, you don't own them or you've sampled them already.

I live in Spain and did the same as you, order the lot of seven samples for $18. I don't remember the time it took to receive them, but when they arrived, I got my seven samples all right, plus a complimentary one I hadn't ordered, plus a hand written note, plus a Bazooka bubblegum
Sorry you had a bad experience, but I can't say but good things about the LusciousCargo service.

I'm fortunate in I've never had the pain of getting something messed up when ordering online.

One thing I'd always recommend is to contact the vendor to discuss the mixup, not post about it online. I know of one incident where a package was lost and it turned out to be the post office mixup, not the vendor. Obviously in this case, there was a mistake made since the samples were incorrect.
