Decanting HELP, Ayudame!

Â* Does anyone here know where to buy graduated pippettes that measure small (2-10 mL) amounts? I've seen some on ebay and those are the ones that are available from a science lab supply store online MUCH cheaper, but you have to buy 500 or something like that. I'm looking for something similar but locally, any sugguestions? local kitchen stores? I have yet to find a local science lab store. Ideas? Many thanks.

I just looked at an auction on ebay for a lot of 25 for $3.50. They are a 3.5 ml. draw.

I think the problem with your ebay search is your spelling. It's spelled "pipette" ... not "pippette".

Good Luck!

If you want a graduated pipette try to get a syringe - they work very well for drawing 10ml from a bottle and transferring to a small decant. At computer shows you can find blunt-needle syringes used to fill inkjet cartridges.

A syringe is definitely better than a pipette. More accurate and easier to handle!

A syringe is also far less disposable, and much more expensive. Imho, everything with decanting should be disposable. Cleaning equiptment doesn't always totally work, and its a huge pita.
