Directory?

I was looking through the directory and whilst there is an enormous selection, the reviews could really be pumped up a bit.

The members here can really write some inspiring reviews and I think that having them here in an easy to use system like the directory would be very informative.

I will try myself to write a review of one of my scents every few days.

I dunno...I kinda like the not-so-fancy reviews here. They're simple so your average Joe or Jane can understand. My nose isn't as refined as some, so a review of all the different notes & how they intermingle wouldn't be as informative as a review that tells about what setting the fragrance works in, what the fragrance reminds the wearer of, what smells similar, etc.

Yes!!! The directory here has had a great influence on my decisions of buying colognes. Sometimes I'm a bit disappointed though as some of the fragrances do not have any detailed reviews. But for the most part, a lot of the reviews are written by people who know what they're talking about. Take milamber's review of Laguna pour homme for example. As soon as I read it, I immediately ordered it. I usually like to test scents out and not buy blind but his review was so descriptive that I couldn't help but be curious about it. To my surprise, the details he described were dead on and Laguna has become one of my favorite scents now. Needless to say, our tastes are subjective as well as our skin types, but it's always good to read an excellent review.

Sorry, I was trying to say that the amount of reviews could be increased. As you may agree, the really lengthy ones I enjoy reading on the board itself.

I, too, would like to see more reviews on the directory pages. Â*One thing people could do is, if they review a fragrance on the board, they can cut and paste it onto the directory page for that fragrance--that's what I do most of the time, and I noticed that some others do too. Â*I agree that it's easier, quicker, to look up a scent in the directory rather than do a search of all posts related to that fragrance on the board. Â*However, doing such a search usually gives me more info, and more detailed info--but not always! Â*

If everyone who reviewed scents on here, pasted them on the directory page, there would be loads more review. Plus, at the moment, writing reviews can win you $200 to spend at Perfume Bay

Actually, I'd be even happier if we were able to add more of the fragrances that are missing from the directory AND increase the number of reviews, especially for fragrances that only have 0-2 reviews.

Ormonde Jayne IMO,should be the first house added to the Directory.
