Cinnamon recomendations?

I know there is a cinnamon fragrance in the CdG Sherbet series but besides that one since the CdG all go weird and ginger-sharp sugar-sweet on my skin. Are there any good fragrances with a prominent cinnamon note? Is cinnamon a note mostly found in old school frags or are there newcomers as well? Any opinion valued!

I like the cinnamon note in L'eau D'issey pour Homme, nowhere else... Hope this helps.

I particularly like the cinnamon note in Messe de Minuit, but it is just one note in many...

Diesel Zero Plus has a lot of cinnamon and you can find it really cheap at TJ Maxx or scentiments.com

Jaïpur pour homme
Mauboussin pour homme
Armand Basi Homme

JHL has a beautiful cinnamon note. Grab a bottle while you can.

I smell cinnamon in Comme des Garçons Original, Eau Lente by Diptyque, Egoiste by Chanel, Parfum Sacré by Caron (Les Senteurs in London says it's unisex) and ofcourse JHL.

I agree with this suggestion. Not a bad scent, and I've seen it for around $10.

For more $$, I'd go with Egoiste. It smells like cinammon, even if it's not listed in the notes.

Musc Ravageur uses cinammon and being its my all time favorite scent, I can't recommend this one enough. Expensive, but well worth it to me.

Though I've only sampled it once, I seem to recall Claiborne Spark for Men had some cinammon in it. It isn't listed in the BN pyramid, but its at least worth a sniff. Who knows, maybe I'm incorrect in my remembrance of this one.

Dunhill - Edition seems to have a pretty prominant cinnamom note.

I'm not much of a cinnamon lover, but I thought LV Incensi was done remarkably well.

Pierre Cardin - Pour Monsieur
Diptyche - L'Eau

Not much found in new frags IMHO.

Also consider: KL Homme; Ungaro I.

Diptyque - Eau Lente
CdG - EDP(Original)

Diesel zero plus and JHL, eh...? I´ll check 'em out. I recall Jaipur (how did you dot the "i" that way...???) having a cinnamon note that I really liked but somehow it didn´t win me over. Deserves a second chance though. I get kind of a cinnamon note from the beginning of Eau Sauvage but I don´t think that´s really cinnamon. Since my quest for the ultimate cedarwood, green tea or citrus fragrances are near an end I need something new to dive into. Being 27 years old I wonder if some of the cinnamon frags might need for me to "grow inte the suit" a bit.

Good suggestions and fun to read about how you like them and what they remind you of and so on!!

I smell plenty of cinnamon in CDG White...

I second the JHL recommendation. You may also want to try Cinnabar - Estee Lauder

I strongly recommend that you test JHL with a sample or decant before buying a whole bottle. This one is quite in the love/hate category. (I'm in the latter)

Tobbe I was just headed to the post office to send out your package. I'll include some JHL in there too.

That´s just amazing! Thank you so much AZ!!!! I really can´t wait! If I may say so it is sooo fantastic to see the amount of unselfish and mutual kindness and generousity in this place. Especially with so many horrible things going on everywhere thesedays. It may seem stupid and little in comparison but it really is a reminder for me of all the goodness surrounding us all. On this forum I care nothing of my fellow Basenoters religion, sex, age, political opinions and so on. It´s just mutual giving of advice and inspiration that grows on it´s own almost like an independent organic lifeform of shared interests and passions. Sorry, that came out really deep and serious but it was meant to all of you on this forum as a thank you for the guidance, laughs, recommendations and opinions. As long as there is something to smile and feel thankful about then the hope is as strong as ever before. God bless, who ever he/she/it may be or not be to you

I'll second the recommedation for Musc Ravageur, my SOTD. Cinnamon plays a central role in this beautiful scent, and it's a favorite to many here on Basenotes. You should definitely give this one a try.

Definatley try Comme Des Garcons EDP . So much cinnamon in the top notes that you cant get the cinnamon smell outta of your nose for at least 30min

Must be my "broken" nose again, but I can't believe no one's mentioned Harissa from the CdG Red series! I've either sampled or have all of the fragrances mentioned so far, and my nose tells me BY FAR that Harissa has the most cinnamon drydown to me. In fact, a few posts back, I said that it reminds me a lot of Goldschlager! I did own CdG white and there was a lot of cinnamon in that, but there was a note in there I didn't like, so I sold it.

Maybe I have a screwy nose (being broken so many times), but if you want cinnamon, at least "sample" CdG Harissa ... from the "Red" series.

1. Comme des Garcons quazarette in the inscense series

2. L'navaguer(sp?) by l'artisan

3. jazz

Surprised no one mentioned Ambre Cannelle yet...and Baie de Genièvre contains a note of the leaves not the bark...

I've only sampled this once, but I think I smelled a touch of cinnamon in Dior Higher Energy

If we talking about cinnamon there is nothing like Cartier Must and Diesel 0+.
Must de Cartier L'Essence has the best cinnamon note, IMHO.

I totally agree with the rec for Musc Ravageur. It's nicely spicy, but doesn't scream "cinnamon."

Dinner by Bobo has great spice notes, too. It's a great fragrance, if it works with your body chemistry.

Another opinion: Bond No. 9 - H.O.T. Always
