Evening Scents for Warm Weather City?

Hey guys - it's been a while since my last post (2 months?). In that time I have:

1. Quit my old job
2. Sold my old house
3. Moved out of DC
4. Moved into Miami
5. Started a new job
6. Bought a new house (under construction - living in my unoccupied in-law's house)
7. Studying (STILL) for the Florida Bar, which is about as much fun as chewing glass, especially when you're 4 years removed from law school. Oh well, at least I was able to take 2 weeks off from work to study for the darn thing, which is at the end of this month - wish me luck and light a LOT of Diptyque, Etro, Creed. or whatever candles you have lying around for me!!! My @ss depends on passing this stupid thing.

Anyway, my "collection" is down to Lorenzo Villoresi AdC and Creed Himalaya. (I gave away some stuff in DC, some 'didn't survive the move').

I need suggestions (designer, niche, what have you) on a great evening scent that works in usually warm, ocassionally humid climes - i.e., Miami. Let'er rip!!!

Thanks,
Temp

Temporary lover (i like that name), I recommend two items from the Crown Perfumery range:

1. Crown Imperial
2. Spliced limes.

I wear Crown Imperial when I long to re-ignite an epicurean repast, that of an Edwardian barber shop.

It really mellows me down in the heat leaving behind a sparkling lemony regal scent with a beautiful powdery lavender drydown. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

My favorite evening summer scents are Jazz, Hanae Mori, and Body Kouros. For a more casual evening scent, Azzaro Visit works nicely as well.

Good luck and I can totally sympathize as someone who just studied for (and fortunately passed) the PA & NJ bars.

Jazz would work wonderfully as an evening summer scent. On the other hand, it works well during the day too...

Dunhill for Men (1934) would work even better during the evening than the day (which is when I wear it).

Also consider Habit Rouge EDC for the same reason; probably even the EDT.

D'oh: Pasha!!! But apply with a light hand.

These are my hot & humid Miami go-to scents for day and night:

Live Jazz
Eau d'Hadrien
Eau d'Orange Verte
Rochas Aquaman
Kenzo Pour Homme
Swiss Army
Eau de Cartier Concentree
Dior Higher
L'Occitane The Vert

...and a handful of others. I've also found a few that *don't* work well during the summer in Miami: M7, Gucci PH, Lolita Lempicka, etc. Most of the gourmand and heavy oriental stuff tends to get cloying when the mercury rises.

Calypso Homme
Bvlgari Homme
Live Jazz
L'Artisan - L'Eau de L'Artisan
Mure et Musc
Vanilia
Burberry Weekend
Eau de Rochas Homme
D'Orsay - Arome 3
Tilleul
Mat;Male
Helmut Lang Cuiron (works surprisingly well in warmer weather)
Guerlain L'Heure Bleue
Roger & Gallet - Extra Vielle
Eau de The Vert
L'Occitane Verbena

...for starters

I will probably be laughed at but cK1 Summer is really quite nice and easy in the summer. I took a bottle to my weeklong summer vacation at th beach and it was very refreshing.

Dior higher or FM Cologne Bigarrade.
Good luck for all!!!

Cartier Declaration Essence or
Yang by Jacques Fath if you can find it.

Nice tea note that suits well summer nights.

Actually, it is very hot where I am and kyoto is working nicely in the heat, in the cold, anytime! It is the perfect fragrance. It smells so refined and delicious. The inscense is todie for in this. Kyoto has worked its way into my top 3.

What about Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune or Emporio Armani Night? I wore them both on hols in Portugal recently and they seemed to work quite well.

Temp: I wish you all the luck. My suggestion is very simple: Givenchy Pour Homme. Fresh, bitter, contemporary, zesty, dry, woodsy... Top class.

Amongst the other fragrances herein mentioned that I'm familiar with I would second

Dunhill for Men (1934) (gentlemanly)
Eau de Cartier Concentree
Dior Higher (cleaner than Givenchy pour Homme)
Kenzo Pour Homme (it doesn't last)
Eau de Rochas Homme (superb bitter lemony citrus)
D'Orsay - Arome 3 (a springtime scent, almost unisex, delicate)
Bvlgari Homme (freshhhh...)
Bvlgari Extreme
KenzoAir (it's got the citrus/leather top of Guerlain's Vetiver without the base)
Chanel Allure Sport (harsher than Givenchy pour Homme, very dry)

Azzaro Chrome was not mentioned but it should work fine.
