Floris fragrances

I've grown quite fond of Summer Limes by Floris, as well as Cefiro. Both are great citrusy summer fragrances, and the shower gels are fantastic. The Floris website is running a HUGE sale right now, as they are redesigning their packaging and trying to get rid of existing stock.

Santal and JF are great masculine scents by them as well....

Thoughts?

I like Santal but find it kinda weak...are there other suggestions for good ones from this house?

All very understated to me. No.89 is a great classic men's scent with a great middle rose note. Mentioned as one of James Bond's scents by Ian Flemming. Elite is an awesome men's floral with tuberose but it retains it's masculinity. JF is along the lines of GIT/ Curve/Coolwater yet it is still individual and worth trying. Santal didn't do well on my skin but I need to re-test it. Santal Extreme if you want to push it further. Sandalwood from the classic's collection is a nicer sandalwood than Santal IMO. A very understated, very British, high quality line definitely worth checking out.

Limes and JF last *much* longer than Santal on my skin. I'm not sure why that is.

JF is like a longer lasting Cool Water with more citrus. Santal is cool, light, and calm. At one point I got a "cola" type of smell from it. A nice sandalwood scent. I have yet to try the Sandalwood from Floris.

Alas! I have to agree with evogel and wilson in finding a strong similarity between JF and an aweful lot of scents like GIT, Curve, and Cool Water that contain (as far as I can tell) a single ingredient that I heartily dislike so much that I cannot get around it to enjoy the rest of the scent. In the case of JF, I find this especially annoying because I can tell there is some other stuff in the juice that I would really like. Floris' Santal also appears to contain a hefty dose of the same molecule, but I have not gotten a chance to wear it for a day yet, so I cannot be sure how much this will make me hate the stuff.

Now I wish that I had been able to smell both Santal and JF in advance before I jumped to take advantage of the big sale on Floris' sites. Ah, fooey! I knew better, but I thought just this once I might get away with a blind purchase.

Imagine a better-smelling version of Gucci Envy, with less longevity and less sillage.

The same goes for JF and Cool Water. Don't get me wrong--I love Floris, but every time I wear them, someone asks me if I'm wearing Cool Water or Envy. I've done blindfolded side-by-side comparisons with friends, and nobody can tell them apart.
