Some Byblos Oddities

One of my favorite sites is imaginationperfumery.com due to their great selection and often rock-bottom prices. While browsing the other day, I came across some Byblos scents that I've never tried nor have I heard anything about...

Take a look:

http://www.imaginationperfumery.com/...s-sandalo.html
http://www.imaginationperfumery.com/...patchouly.html

I've tried many of the others and have owned Fuoco and Cielo, but at those prices, I'm wondering if anyone has ever actually tried the Sandalo or Patchouly? I've heard that the musk is actually a clean white musk scent and it too intrigues me...

Anyone? Anyone?

These almost look fake, don´t they?
I only knew about the old black bottle and the newer square bamboo thing...

Well, quite a few of them are sold here in Japan, but I've never seen the sandalo or patchouly...The old packaging was the large glass cylindrical bottle, but many of them have been re-packaged into a cylindrical grenade style bottle...

Ok, I see. Wasn´t impressed by the cubish scent, but the older black bottle indicates some possible powerhouse punch. It´s an italian brand by the way, isn´t it?

sure is! The original women's scent is a masterpiece - considering when it was released - in a time of powerhouse orientals - the fragrance is a beautiful and unique floral. Sadly, I think every TJ Maxx from Miami to Seattle has it on sale for like $6.99 I don't wear it often, but still love to sniff the bottle now and then.

The new Byblos for men is actually the same as the old Byblos for men, just repackaged, though they also released another version called Byblos Bamboo. The new Byblos for Women is indeed a new fragrance, though I've not heard much about it...

Have to disagree here! Had both (swapped new one) and they were completly different scents. The new one is very "Crave"esque and not a patch on the superb older one.

I think the Col may be right.

I ordered an original bottle after reading rave reviews here, and instead I was sent the "new" one which was absolute garbage. Can't say for sure, though, as I've yet to smell the original.

Oops! Yes, you guys are correct, I believe it was actually the women's that was repackaged and relaunched with the same juice while the men's was actually re-created.

That being said - anyone have any experience with Byblos Bamoboo for men?
