Why does it take so long to get fragrances on list

This is a sincere question. I have submitted several fragrances for listing. An example is Les Parfums de Rosine 'Coupe d'Or'. I provided detailed information on Launch year, gender, creator, bottle designer and the fact that it is currently in production. I submitted this on April 10, 2006. It is not on the list yet. I am sincerely curious about what slows the listing process. This is not a complaint, it is an honest question about how the process works. Thank you very much for any info you can give me (us).

Same here. I've submitted more than 20 over pictures for perfume profiles with no pictures and a couple of missing fragance profiles since the day I joined. But yet to see any updates yet. Is there anyway normal members like us can help in the actual updating of the site?

Tell me about it!
anyways i suppose everyone is very busy...

there have been many updates on some frag houses like for example Galimard and Laurence Dumont (to wich i posted a while ago many, many missing frags) so kudos and thank you very much to whoever made the updates! oh and if you made the updates please lock the thread so we can know that that's been taken care of...thanks a lot again!

I love to help as much as i can to make this site the ultimate frags directory in the world!

Because the database lives on my PC in my house, I'm the only one who can add to - which I try to do as often as possible.

Also for those who submit pictures, please only submit photos you have taken yourself. Unless you have taken them yourself, I have to write to the manufacturer to ask permission to use it (or whereever the picture came from ) if people just taken them from other websites

Thank you for all the updates i know it must take a lot of time to do it!

Thank you very much for your reply Grant. You have created a terrific website. I'm sure you work very hard to maintain and improve it. It was great seeing how very many fragrances you have added.

I think it would be good to have an Important Topics thread in the Missing Fragrances area in which you posted the fragrances you have added, just as you did in this thread. I did notice that 42 people have looked at this thread since I posted it 5 days ago. I think people would feel better if they could see that you are steadily adding fragrances.

I know I felt uncomfortable about what was going on, even though I assumed it was just a very big job. Now I feel more relaxed because I've gotten some clear feedback about the progress you are making. My background is in psychology (retired psychotherapist). I can tell you that a regular posting on your progress would make people feel more at ease about having to wait for a particular fragrance to show up in the database.

Also, it was just fun to see all the fragrances that have been added. I really looked at that list with interest.

Thanks again for your attentiveness and the nice work you do!

Thank you - there are over 8077 fragrances in the directory at the moment, and I know there are loads not in there. Keeping on top of it is a full-time job - but its fun!

I think each time I add some more, I'll post it on this board, so that people know I am working through the posts. Good idea

Thanks!

I'll add Coupe d'Or next time too!
