Shipping cologne internationally

Hey guys and gals,

I'm in the USA and am trying to make a swap with a fellow Basenoter who lives outside of the USA. I went to the post office to mail his package out only to discover that USPS won't allow the international shipment of cologne!! >

I was told that even if I didn't mark "cologne" on the customs form, that the cologne would be discovered in an x-ray conducted by customs and that the bottles would be immediately confiscated. Grrrrr.

Do any of you know how I can get around this road bump? Does UPS offer international shipment of cologne? Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Roman

Don't let the boys in blue intimidate you with their bluffs. Ive sent stuff back and forth from Canada numerous time without a hitch, and Marlen sent me bottles from Japan.

you can, however, use UPS if you don't like lying to USPS

Please dont ship anything to outside of the US via UPS hahah....they are not kinda to us at all!

USPS is the way to go. Try another location.

nice work! On the customs form, write used cosmetics and check off "gift." If they ask any questions, I usually refer to decants as "lipstick" . Then its also a good idea to way lowball the value, like $5 or something like that, so that your swapping buddy doesnt have to pay duties.
