He has a sicknes?? I don't think so but I guess, maybe?? That was a very distrubing video, especially if it was an actual commertial from way back when. That gives the wrong impression of people who give rides to those in need and it pokes fun at homosexuality. It is not a contageous thing. I would have gotten it by now. Maybe it is because I like to walk... Hmmmm

OH MY F*****G GOD!

Eeeek, this thread could get heated! BY ME! LOL

All I'm gonna say is that, why is it even today that so many people feel homosexuality is a CHOICE or a sickness? >

Jez, I chose my sexuality as much as I chose to be bald!

You chose to be bald? That is so courageous of you!

I actually had to watch this evil bit of propaganda back in the mid sixties. It made me furious.

Notice how willingly that young man accompanies the older guy up the motel steps?

Thankfully this kind of hate-propaganda can now be eviscerated through mockery, reducing it to nothing more than kitsch to be laughed at and passed smirkingly back and forth on forums such as this. However, my heart goes out to you Griff, for having been exposed to this dreck when it was not yet widely recognized as such. Im imaging little youngin Griff, sitting in his social engineering classroom in the sixties with his little schoolboy shorts and his little white beard, and being dictated to from some clattering film-strip projector. Awful. I salute you, Griff, for letting you freak flag fly long before it was as fashionable as it is today.

And on the topic of baldness.. what is it with Mods and chrome-domes (see: Marls, Col)? Anybody checked Paul G's head?

The brainwashed emptyness in the tutorial voice, Â*together with the message, gives me the creeps. Scary propaganda. The jollyness of it (tha catchy little tunes and all) makes it even more awful.

Thanks Joel but not to worry; I didn't suffer as a child, at least not because of this or any other ludicrous government propoganda to which we were all exposed at the time. I wasn't the brightest or cleverest kid in the klass but I definitely had a well-developed sense of skepticism by the time I was 12 for which I am endless thankful to the Catholic Church and especially the Sisters of Notre Dame whose inventive ways of torturing little children, physically and psychologically, were apparently unlimited. Without the benefit of their evil little attentions, I would have grown up without a highly-tuned BS meter.

having not been alive in the 60's (born in 73) I don't know the answer to this....how common was smallpox in the 60s? hadn't it pretty much been eradicated by this point in the US? I found the line, "not visible like smallpox" even odder than the rest of this. Though I found it amusing and now I'll know that it's a bad idea to hitchhike with men with pattern baldness and creepy sunglasses. Damn.....I don't know how I'm gonna get around now.....

not visible like smallpox -but no less deadly! Isn't that what killed...Admiral Nelson :-?

Smallpox had been eradicated in the US by the 1960's (the last known case in the US was in 1949). The last known case in the world was 1977 and smallpox was declared officially eradicated worldwide in 1979.

the video ended too quickly, I wanted at least one bedroom scene, young jimmy escaping out of the window half dressed or something

Concord

Thank you for that. And thank you Sid Davies.

I have now chopped off my homosexual penis so that I can't waggle it in the direction of fit young hotties and corrupt them. I am bad.

how do I stop this blood flow? Anyone?

I hiked a lot in my later teens. I was not sure even if I was infected myself. I just hoped for some unknown adventure. Next to all who gave me a lift were str8, some were the wrong type. But I saw a lot of Europe!
I was so contageous that you could smell it, I guess! Needing sex is all I remember. Sadly though, I had little chance to further spread that bug >!

I had smallpox when I was a kid, it was a drag. I had to stay home from school and everything. Got little red marks on my face and didn't feel good for a couple days. Wasn't that big of a deal though. Why we had to go to all this trouble to "eradicate" it all over the world, is beyond me. Jeez, not like anybody died of it.

Hmm... okay. Â*It was chicken pox I had when I was a kid, I think. Â*Chicken pox. Â*Yeah. Â*Pretty sure that was it. Â*Please disregard the above post. Â*
