20 Topics per Page

Since the other day, I've only been able to get 20 topics per page when I go to the main fragrance discussion board. And the topics I posted against are usually gone from the first page when I check back later.

Is there some way, or some setting I've overlooked, to get back the 40 or 50 postings per page I had before?

I think that may have something to do with the upgrade of the site. I notice the page loads a lot faster now than before.

Actually, Lusciouscargo just did this recently too. When you used to go to a houses page (say MPG), the entire line would load on one page that you could scroll the entire page. Now they have a series of pages with only about 12 fragrances on each page.

I don't know much about websites but this is my best guess. It's probably for speed.

yes, i do think it's for speed. but sometimes, forum software will allow you to set how many threads you want to show per page, so people with slow connections can set it to display fewer and people with fast connections can set it to display more. i'm not sure if we have that feature here. might be something grant sets behind the scenes.

Actually, I prefer the big display when I have the slower connections at my ladyfriend's place or at work. With the fast settings at my home, it's not such a big deal flipping between pages.
