James Bond series ending (well, could-be scenario)

Looking at the photo of the new James Bond actor choice (Daniel Craig) got me into thinking a little.
The actor himself looks more like some sort of Bondiana villain than an elegant and sophisticated spy-gentleman that we used to see this character.

That way I came to an idea of what a good Bond series ENDING could be.

First, the MAIN idea is that James Bond (as a UK government spy fighting villains everywhere in the world) should come to a character that is reversed himself, i.e. a villain.

Second, it would more likely take 2 films than only one to perform such a thing.

------ the last-but-one movie: "Something in the air" (working title) -----------------------

The pre-last motion picture should be about Bond fighting some sort of new evil world-wide corporation that wants to rule the world (what's hot and sci-fi out there? ok, let it be bio-technology), say, via implementing food plants with special genetic components and all that. As a variant, it could be a fragrance and healthcare empire messing with secret biological and chemical additives to scented products to make people bio-robots or sort of that. List is open but that's not the main point.

In this last-minus-one film James Bond, of course, should reveal and break evil plans and destroy the corporation but, to keep the intrigue for the next film, the main villain should disappear under uncertain circumstances (think of using his double or sort of that).
NOTE: if we use fragrance variant, the evil corp could be a worldwide record and movie producing company that makes its pop- and movie stars' army launch fragrances to make faster and greater destroying effect to humanity. ;D

The Bond himself should receive a substantial damage: small enough that Q could asemble him back to life (sort of using some bio-tech secrets Bond stole among others from the evil corp), and big enough to start thinking (at least for himself) of getting retired.

NOTE: I know I forgot to implement at least TWO Bond girls here (good one and bad one), I don't think it's a hard thing to do so feel free to fantasize it yourself.

------ end of the last-but-one movie ------

------ The last film of James Bond series: Never heard or seen that before (working title)

The last Bondiana film should start from the point that evil corp was brought back by those (disappeared in previous film) villains under new name and developed some new sort of anti-human technology (think of, say, new "special" mind-affecting channel added to music records and sountracks along with newest cheap and compact audoi-video-compression algorithm which makes the evil stuff spread world-wide almost in no time).

The movie should contain two main lines: first, Bond fighting against this corp as usually (Aston Martin pursuits, fights, 1953's Dom Perignon and all that), and second, reverse transformation in his own mind into a villain. The key to the second point should again be all about Bond girls. I don't have much ideas here, so let's put it simple: Bond loves good one but falls under dark one's evil charm.

Somewhere in the middle Bond finally kills the villain of the evil corp (already being to a good extent a villain himself) and takes the whole technological knowledge. He becomes the head of the evil empire he's been fighting against. At the same time, his bosses do know nothing and remain thinking he's fighting that corporation.

At the culmination point, the truth comes into the light, M gives an order to exterminate Bond. The one to execute is a good Bond girl that Bond loved (hehe, just imagine Q invented a spy-gadget bra!).

(skip - just insert some long enough pursuit-fighting episodes here)

Finally, the now evil James Bond seriously wounds the good girl, somehow remembers of his love and good side of the mind, then kills the bad girl and ... disappears for ever. The good girl recovers from the wounds and reports he's dead.

Dunno for the ending.
Probably, the disappeared Bond takes some plastic sugrery, new eye colour and new fingerprints' skin, gets a 10-15 years younger with some of those "secret" bio-techs and comes up to a British Intelligence Dept school to become a member of the OOx sub-unit.

------- The END -------

Regards, Odor.

P.S. Hmm... I probably shouldn't smoke that "Shortcut To Mushrooms" pipe blend that much ;D.

whoah dude... you been thinking about this a lot...

yeah, really. That reminded me of something funny.

One time I found this site on the internet where some wacky dude who was obsessed with Michael Landon, took it upon himself to write future imaginary episodes of "Highway to Heaven!" Â*no shit... Even though Michael Landon has obviously been quite dead for years. Â*It was really funny the level of thought he put into it, and he had some whack story line about the battle of Armageddon, and where the devil took over heaven and put these "thought control" collars on all the angels and shit. Â*It was the cheesiest stuff ever, but I couldn't tear myself away from reading it. Â*Like watching a trainwreck. Â*I think I'm gonna go look for it now!

Ha! I found a link to one of the pages!

N.B.- No The-odor, I'm not comparing you to the "highway to heaven" dude, but it just made me think of it. Â*LOL!

That would be cool if they involved the fragrance industry in a James Bond movie. Â*Maybe they could work in a few digs at Aqua di Gio!

Indie_Guy,
I'd be glad to have some fun out of that link but, excuse my ignorance, I don't have a clue of who's Michael Landon and what the hell is "Higway to Heaven!" about but I agree the idea is not new (here in Russia there were even contests for scenarios that prolong some USSR-wide known and beloved movies, or trials to prolong Tolkien plot lines etc.).

My thoughts with Bondiana scenarios were provoked by an idea that todays Bond films are plain boring. Brosnan's (though pictured good) Bond was doing everything on the edge of his energy, with a great effort, far apart of easy and playing Connery's (and, of course Flemming's) one.
In recent 2 films there is almost no humor at all, which made them plain spy action moveis. I sort of liked Brosnan's Golden Eye and Tomorrow Never Dies but after that it's utter crap, IMO.

Seen new Bond actor, I fiiled and lit up my pipe and sat back to think it over a bit. That way the idea of reversing main Bond character knocked on my head (happily D. Craig appeared to have an appearance suitable for that). For what it's worth, I thought it'd be fun to share since maybe I'm not alone thinking Bondiana's nothing more than huge boring commercial ad these days.

I don't think this all is worth a long discussion cause it's concerned to one's taste. Anyway, I don't have much hopes for a new Bond movie (I would probably have had, only if David Ficher or Jim Jarmusch was the director, but that could never happen since it would never be as successful commercially as any stupid action movies like recently ).

The latest James Bond movies have gotten a bit dull in the story lines and are devoid of humor, I like your idea for putting a twist on it.

As for Michael Landon and Highway to Heaven... Michael Landon was an actor who starred in a TV show in the 70's called Little House on the Prairie, in which he played a settler in the 1800's. Then in the 80's he played an angel in a TV series called Highway to Heaven, in which he helped people get "good". Then he died of pancreatic cancer in 91 I believe. I found this site where the guy wrote fictitious future episodes for the show. I guess its only funny if you're familiar with the show.
