She an independant perfumer--Dawn Spencer Hurwitz. She has a web site www.dshperfumes.com and some of her things are sold at the Hampton Court perfume site as well. I gather she uses the best quality materials, and her stuff is priced high. She's got a 25% off sale going on at her site now. Sooooo.....how can I resist???

First of all, Dawn is a real sweetie. If you can get her on the phone she loves to talk about her work and in the past she's even tweaked blends for customers one way or another. All that being said, I just can't seem to wear her stuff very well. She's creative and all, but all her oil blends end up smelling the same on me. I know she said she wears Chypres best and maybe if you can wear Chypres you have better luck with her blends. She does have a very loyal following though, so obviously others can wear her fragrances without issues.
