In praise of Luckyscent

Several of you know I bought a bottle of Jalaine's Gardenia perfume oil, and it was from Luckyscent. It's a whopping $150.00 for an art glass Italian cut crystal bottle of 6ml of oil. I opened it. I was breathless. But the bottle was not perfect. Eh, I thought, it's beautiful and I love the oil. Next day, that little glue ring was all I could see.

I sent an Email. They answered next business day, and said send it back. They received it today and sent receipt of damaged returned email confirmation. Also, later in the day, I have an email confirmation of shipment on the replacement bottle.

Thank you , Andrea!!!! This was a big purchase for me, and it means a lot to have such good service and communication.

Now, I want the Cucumber......nah, just kidding! Not.

so does it smell like a real gardenia?

i figure if you paid that much they really should make sure the bottle is perfect but i agree that it is nice of them to actually promptly do what they really should do.

I don't think it smells like a real gardenia. It smells like nothing on earth. It is the most intensely green, lightly sweet, slightly vanillic musk thing out there. It brings Philosykos to my mind, but cranked a several degrees toward feminine. Our own dear Magnifiscent says the actual gardenia blossom just at bud stage smells pretty green, so maybe that is what they capture. It's intense, and one drop does constitute a 'wearing'.

I love the CS at Luckyscent. They've always treated me right and I believe they go above and beyond a regular store. Plus they've always offered those hard to find fragrances.
