today i have the chance to test allure sensuelle both in the parfum and edp versions ,i didnt believe that sometimes a new version of the previous could have been even more beautiful, that's what happened with this new fantastic chanel creation the parfum is sublime but i would opt for the edp .imho sensuelle is definitely better than the regular allure .

Elegant, subtle, and refined, For an introspective frame of mind. Close to the skin, it lingers on, I'll re-apply before it's gone. I wish that it would longer stay, But "Less is More,"...

I dislike the original AdG, always have because of the bitterness and strange orange synthetic note. The Essenza after one wear won me over, smooth opening, soft woodiness once it settles down....

Disturbingly bad. This opens up obscure, smoky, spicy and what seems like an attempt of a jasmine flower note. I have smelt jasmine notes from higher end perfumery and this is utterly...

I've worn Allure edp for about 9 years now. I got a roll-on sample of Allure Sensuelle with a Gloss.com order a couple of months ago. I applied it enthusiastically, but I was really disappointed. On me it smelled like very dry patchouli oil and not much else. It kept bringing to mind Dead Heads and hacky sacks and that sort of thing. To my nose it smelled like the rich bourbon vanilla of Allure was replaced with patchouli. AS was a nice fragrance in itself, but I suppose I wanted it to be more like Allure. It wound up giving me an awful headache, and even after showering, the scent still clung to my skin. I'd like Allure Sensuelle on my husband, I think, if it didn't give me a rotten headache. I probably need to give this one another try, because I may have overapplied when I tested it.

I've tested Allure Sensuelle edp yesterday and it's definitely [i]magnifiscent[i]!
While I find the original Allure a bit too "bon ton", this one has a very luscious drydown and a dept that so far overcomes the classy (but a bit boring) floral-chipre drydown. In Sensuelle the floral notes, contrasting with the basenotes, keep more bright and sexy, while undertones play a myterious accord.
I definitely look forward to smell it on the right woman...

Though, it's one of my favorite releases of 2005, I hardly concider Allure Sensuelle as a masterpiece. It's a good perfume but not a great Chanel IMHO. Jacques Polge seams to rework the successful accord he created for Coco Mademoiselle for every new Chanel release; more floral for Chance, more spicy for Allure Sensuelle.
Like most Chanel's eaux de parfums AS is longlasting and has a great sillage.
I know I'm a bit trashing AS today, but don't misunderstand me... I like it very much.
AS was released in the fall of 2005 in the USA and was only released this week in Europe; and already two co-workers of mine wear Allure Sensuelle (one used to overspray Dior Addict, the other wears Coco Mademoiselle). I bought the body lotion last tuesday to add to the edp someone brought me back from the US last X-mas.

Ah. This I am sorry to hear. That sounds lazy, or maybe timid, or just mercenary (well, what else?). I suppose I'm being disrespectful here. :-p I can't wear Coco Mademoiselle. Nor Chance. Still, it'll be interesting to try a spritz of AS anyway.

I've finally got my hands on it yesterday!

Well, I guess the impression is a bit spoilt by the fact that there is already Coco Mademoiselle and Chance. I absolutely agree with Cedriccentric. If I didn't know them, I'd say "wow, that's an amazing scent".
It's a Pity, really, that all three last Chanel creations seem to be so intertwined.I wish they did something really new and original, but they rather stick to their success recipy.
I might talk like that for ages, but I'll only say, I'll consider buying AS ONLY when my Allure is finished!!!
