Most Worn in January

Thread Starter
Is anyone missing this thread? It is February now and Tigrushka would be pleased to see us organized the way we were in 2005. So, please, get out your notes and post here your monthly statistics!

For me, I wore Mauboussin, Asja, Samsara and L'Arte most. I tested a lot and now I am craving juicy summer berries. I was neglecting my favorite chypres #19 and Coriandre and other green florals.

I don't keep a record, sounds like work.

We've had whacky weather, skewing fragrance choices this month. From the coldest December on record I think we shot right into one of the warmest Januaries, but with the occasional 20* day and lots of rain/sleet and grey cloud just to keep us from getting too hopeful. It's been a weird, frustrating, yo-yoing, neither-nor month. It is not winter and, alas, it is not spring. What to do?

I find have gravitated to AG le Jasmin, L'Artisan Piment Brulant (a good one for you, dear Timberwolf**) and 06130's Yuzu Rouge (another one to consider, Timberwolf***) on warmer days, The Different Company's Bois d'Iris and Parfum de Rosine's Pousserie de Rose for warmer eves. And I've been seen spritzing AG eau de Camille around the rooms as a home fragrance in vain hopes of hastening or at least simulating a real spring!

On the chillier and/or drearier days when I want a fire going in the fireplace and I leaf wistfully through issues of Conde Nast Traveler the way others read the morning paper, I have become addicted to SL Daim Blond and Molinard 1849's Nirmala by day and Montale's Aoud Roses Petals and Fragonard's Miranda by night and sometimes Nirmala again, especially if we are going out to dinner.

I checked my Sotd-posts. Not every day is covered, but unsurprisingly Jour de Fête and Hiris are the ones I have worn most times. I do suspect that I have used Terre de Bois more than the one time I have documented. Apart from that I have worn Samsara, Tunisian Sandalwood from Attar Bazaar and Coeur de Fleur twice each.

January was a weird month for me. I was sick and didn't wear any fragrance for a week. So I had only two repeats all month - Bandit and Black Cashmere. Very unusual for me not to wear Angel at least twice in one month. I had two new-to-me testings - Coco and Bvlgari Femme, neither of which blew me away ...

In January I was doing a lot of sampling - looking over my SotD posts, I didn't have a single repeat!

For me it must have been:
Lolita Lempicka, Obsession Night & Hypnotic Poison

I didn't keep a log, but I can tell by the bottle contents. January has been a werid blend of Prada/Anais Anais for me. Mostly Prada, and the Anais Anais I used primarily in deodorant form (although I don't use it as a deodorant - more of an all-over spray) - I find it softer and, when combined with the body wash and body lotion, surprisingly better-lasting.

I didn't post SotD every day, but from what I posted and what I recall, these are the fragrances I wore most often:

MPG George Sand
Estee
Angelique Encens
EL Private Collection
Paloma Picasso

No need to blush. Wear them proudly - an exceptionally womanly list. And I can totally see you wearing them - they don't contradict each other at all.

Mine were:

1. Ambre Narguile (at least on ten days)
2. Dior Eau Noire
3. Biche dans L'Absinthe
4. Folie de Rose

It's pretty easy for me (because I don't have that many scents ). My most worn scents in January were Champagne, Knowing, Youth Dew Amber Nude and Coco.

It has been really cold here, so I've been craving for smth warm and cosy Â*[smiley=bath.gif]: Allure, Royal Delight Creed. Have been playing with Hermes Caleche Eau Delicate, which reminded me of my mom ,who lives quite far away (she used to wear Victoria by V's Secret, unfortunately discontinued), Narciso Rodriguez musk for her (really liked that one!), and Benefit's Maybe Baby, which was definitely way too peachy for -10C! Hope that spring comes soon...
American Citizens, how was the Groundhog Day weather forecast?..
