Need Valentine's Day perfume help

Well, I was thinking about a new scent for my Mom for Valentine's Day.

This time, it will be quite a bit tougher: Many of her scent bases have been covered already, as she likes Innocent (her current fave), Hypnotic Poison, Jaipur Saphir, and Violet Angel. So, I would like to introduce her to something a bit more floral or a bit more woody. For slightly floral scents, I was thinking Alien, Boucheron (original), or Allure Sensuelle, while for woody scents, I was thinking Coco, Prada, or DK Cashmere Mist.

Other (non-niche) suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but keep in mind that when it comes to notes, she's rather picky. Most chypres tend to turn nasty on her skin (Paloma Picasso being one of them). She doesn't like lily of the valley that much (except when well-blended with other notes a la Hypnotic Poison) and she absolutely hates gardenia.

I'm going out for perfume sniffin' on Friday, and I'll report back to you on Feb. 14 on what I got for her and what she thinks about it.

Consider Stella or Stella Absolute, which has an obvious amber presence.
Other florals that are probably safe bets would be Jo Malone Orange Blossom or L'Artisan La Chasse aux Papillons.

If you are going to a floral direction, I think introducing some of the classics would be really good - I am thiniking Bvlgari (if she likes the violet in Violet Angel than it's likely she will like this violet and roses scented beauty), Joy (jasmine and rose), and Paris (also violets and roses) or even Baby Doll Paris (for a more fruity, tart and sweet rose bouquet).

Try Allure for a more of a white floral with a woody and vanilla base. The EDT is the best (I tried all forms including the parfum).

Other florals that are very nice are from Anna Sui - Sui Love and Secret Wish, and maybe even Dolly Girl.

Sui Dreams and Lancome Hypnose may fit the bill for a woody-vanilla.

For more woody notes - I think that Nu, Addict, Coco Madmoiselle and maybe even Kingdom may work.

Hope that was in the least helpful!

May I second Stella, Allure and Paris? No Alien, pleeeeeease! She is your Mom! :

For heavier/evening/go out scents, may I suggest:
Cartier Must,
Guerlain Samsara,
YSL Opium,
and what you thought -- Chanel Coco.

Good luck!

Dior Dolce Vita
Armani Sensi
Boucheron Trouble
Estee Lauder Spellbound

I'll second (or third) Coco, Must de Cartier and Opium, not because they're particularly floral or woody but because they're just great fragrances.
