Well, I was thinking about a new scent for my Mom for Valentine's Day.
This time, it will be quite a bit tougher: Many of her scent bases have been covered already, as she likes Innocent (her current fave), Hypnotic Poison, Jaipur Saphir, and Violet Angel. So, I would like to introduce her to something a bit more floral or a bit more woody. For slightly floral scents, I was thinking Alien, Boucheron (original), or Allure Sensuelle, while for woody scents, I was thinking Coco, Prada, or DK Cashmere Mist.
Other (non-niche) suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but keep in mind that when it comes to notes, she's rather picky. Most chypres tend to turn nasty on her skin (Paloma Picasso being one of them). She doesn't like lily of the valley that much (except when well-blended with other notes a la Hypnotic Poison) and she absolutely hates gardenia.
I'm going out for perfume sniffin' on Friday, and I'll report back to you on Feb. 14 on what I got for her and what she thinks about it.
