Testing A Fleur De Peau (among several others - I'm a pig when I get an envelope of samples).
I put it on twice. I didn't quite get it the first time, but finally did the second.
The piquant, almost fruit punch, topnotes threw me at first, but on the second try the leather note is coming through well. The fruit isn't as annoying as it sounds and is a successful contrast with a pleasant leather. It isn't as long-lasting as Daim Blond though, or as sensual, so it won't replace it on my wishlist. But a nice leather fragrance is always an interesting thing.
It has similarities of construction with the Fifi Chachnil I sampled yesterday - a vaguely similar piquant fruit note, played off against an earthier masculine background.
