Trying something different today: a blend of Parfum Sacre over Creed's Tubereuse Indiana with bath & Body Works Jasmin Vanilla body cream. Cloyingly sweetdry down, but enjoyable.

Good evening!
It has been dark, dull, rainy here today. All the snow has washed away. I had no idea what to wear this morning. Eventually I choose Hiris, which I find beautiful, but the ultimate fragrance for me this kind of day would probably have been just a little woodier, sweeter and spicier.

Testing A Fleur De Peau (among several others - I'm a pig when I get an envelope of samples).
I put it on twice. I didn't quite get it the first time, but finally did the second.
The piquant, almost fruit punch, topnotes threw me at first, but on the second try the leather note is coming through well. The fruit isn't as annoying as it sounds and is a successful contrast with a pleasant leather. It isn't as long-lasting as Daim Blond though, or as sensual, so it won't replace it on my wishlist. But a nice leather fragrance is always an interesting thing.
It has similarities of construction with the Fifi Chachnil I sampled yesterday - a vaguely similar piquant fruit note, played off against an earthier masculine background.

Today I'm testing Snowpeach by Renee, one of my Luckyscent samples. Smells just like peaches straight from the tree, a very happy scent with absolutely Nothing cloying about it. I usually dislike fruits and gourmands but Snowpeach has an underlying tartness that is almost dry. It's not at all like peach preserves but like the real thing with no extra sugar added. ;D

Just came home from a 12 hour day at work and was wearing Lily Prune Fizzy Tea. Funny name, serious fragrance, and, amazingly enough, still here!
