Match your favorite perfumes with color

Thread Starter
I did this one on another board ages ago and got some extremely interesting responses. Just use your imagination. For me:

Shalimar: seashell pink
White Shoulders: ivory, as on satin fabric
Coco: [red]RED[/red]
Aromatics Elixir: black, as in little black dress
Vol de Nuit: shiney gold
Inoui: The brilliant colors of autumn, every one of them
Dinner by Bobo: green
Anne Pliska: amber, just as it is
Messe de Minuit: tombstone gray
Fracas: periwinkle
Hiris: powderpuff blue
Parure: deep purple
Angel: white angora

I'm sure I'll think of more. Keep 'em coming

Wow, I'm having a terrible time getting past the color of the bottle.
Therefore Dinner is Purple to me. Anne Pliska is Deep Pink,
Angle is blue.

I'm bad at this, LOL!

I see perfumes in a lot of different ways, from people (mostly historical or mythological lol), to personas, to moods. Â*Another way I see them is more like outfits rather than colors...so I kinda cheated on some :-P

Amouage Gold for Women  gold and deep red rubies, with ruby red satin
Must de Cartier  Â*light gold on creamy white cashmere
Bandit  black satin, perhaps with black lace trim (black leather doesn't encompass the whole fragrance, and besides, it's too easy )
Angelique Encens  stone gray
Annick Goutal Rose Absolue  Deep almost purple wine red
Aqua Allegoria Rosa Magnifica  sparkling light green and translucent sunshiny yellow-gold
Fleurissimo  light amethyst chiffon
Anne Pliska  reddish glossy amber
KM A Fleur de Peau  deep rich dusky pink (I'm seeing a soft wool? but not cashmere)
La Chasse aux Papillones extreme  light pastel purple
Aqaba  bright ruby red

More as I think of them

I find myself having the same problem...
But a few perfumes are "coloured" to me, not nessecarily favorites, but anyway:

Mitsuko: cerise (because of a very cerise lady who wears it)
Chanel no. 5: deep cherry red (because of the aldehydes that give it a hint of bitter almonds or cherryseeds)
Jicky: gold (Don´t know why, but it has a luxurious and somewhat metallic touch...hmm, hope it´s not because of the bottle.....)
Angel: blue/brown/yellow/red spotted (because I think the different notes appeare one by one, rather than together)
Aramis: blue-green (Someone might want to kill me if I motivate it....)
Gentleman: brown (as in a dark brown suit)

OH! I hate to even READ the associations with the perfume and color because I'm so easily influenced and kinda anal about matching!
I keep telling myself....you don't have to be wearing blue or periwinkle if you want to wear Angel today. I find it almost impossible if I'm wearing a red-orange blouse and wearing some scent like Angel....
I have to have an oriental or something......
I try not to but.....
It's interesting to read yours.....
Of course it's almost impossible not to wear something of a green or chypre if I'm wearing green and green looks good with the red hair.
Mitsouko....I can wear that with lots of things....but probably wouldn't wear it with pastels....
I'm nuts and this is making me crazier!

Hey,
not being a woman doesn't forbid me from giving my opinion, does it? [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
COCO has always struck me as crimson, almost purple (as in regal purple)
ANGEL is cotton candy pink
while COCO MADEMOISELLE (always gonna be my no.1) is the colour of powder and as it dries down, it becomes claret.

Great thread!!!

La Chasse Aux Papillons - I always picture it the pink on the strip of the bottle.
Sui Dreams - tiffany blue
Lea - cozy chocolate brown
Vanilla Abricot - cotton candy pink or somedays orange
