Yves Rocher going up-market?

I read in Cosmetique-Magazine that Yves Rocher is about to launch a new line of more up-market fragrances called: "Secret d'Essences". The fragrances in this line will be about 30% more expensive than past Yves Rocher perfumes. With more luxurious bottles made of heavy glass. Each "Secret d'Essences" will be about a particular fragrance family. The first one, "Voile d'Ambre" is an oriental.

Notes: green mandarin, cardamon, amber, myrth, incense, sandalwood, opopanax, vanilla and patchouli.

There is an image of the perfume mini of Voile d'Ambre on Parfum-Echecs:

Yves Rocher is a huge business... they sell more lipsticks in France each year than any other company. They sold more than 1 million units of "Comme une Evidence" in Europe alone!

For the price, I think YR fragrances are of very good quality. Check out "Parfum Cocon" and the new "Pur Désir Mimosa" by Hypnotic Poison nose Annick Menardo. Â*

I agree that for the price their fragrances are of good quality.

Terrific news altogether! Wish them all the best!

I miss their odies though: Venezia, Pivonne, 8th Day, simple but refined Magnolia, vanilla (the one in a round bottle with yellow cap), Folies des Saisons (I liked Summer and Spring).

Yes, WOW! Even the mini looks luxe!
I think most Yves Rocher scents are comparable to department store brands.

Voile d'Ambre will be priced at arround 50 euro (+/- $60)... But there are always special promotions at Yves Rocher, so the launching price is 26 euro. Still a cheap thrill. And don't we all looooove cheap thrills? [smiley=cheesy.gif]

This is great news! I've become a big fan of Yves Rocher after being introduced to their
products here on the boards. I love their Bambou (EdC?) and especially Nature Millenaire Homme EdT,
which I'd put up against the majority of department-store men's scents currently on the market.

Many thanks for the news, Cedric! I'll definitely check this line out. [smiley=smiley.gif]

I love Néonatura Parfum Cocon and the Fraîcheur Végétale line shower gels.
