Favorite new release of the year so far?

Well, we are nearing the halfway point and it's been an interesting year for launches in that, in my opinion, there really hasn't been anything earth-shattering released as of yet. The Donna Karan's were a disappointment as were the Yohji's...The new Hermes Jardin was a let-down....Isfahan barely stays on my skin longer than 2 minutes...Lutens Miel is "nice" but not worth the price tag...

Of course, I haven't tried Extrait de Songe yet...

So what do you think are the standout releases of the year so far?

My favorites so far are:
-Angel Garden of Stars: Lily
-Opium Fleur de Shanghaï (that's the only one I actually bought)
-SummerbyKenzo
-Prada (was only released in my country this spring)

I also like Pivoine Magnifica

I'm looking forward for the following fall releases:
-Allure Sensuelle (just because it's Chanel Baby!)
-Alien
-Miss Me by Stelle Cadente (also from the Mugler people)
-Gaultier²
-Dior Homme

A lot of releases this year...but will they be there in 5 years?
I fell in love with Prada (and I hope they reformulate the body line which is awful), Barbara Bui Le Parfum (2005 or 2004) is a kind of feminine version of Gucci Pour Homme, SummerbyKenzo and Stella Cadente bring new smells on the market...I'm looking forward for the new Lutens, Dior Homme and the new Lancôme (just to see if they will make even worse then Attraction or Miracle So Magic...)

I'm always a year or more behing the new releases, but my favorites, new-to-me, this year (even though I don't own them) are Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Versace Crystal Noir. While I won't buy it, I do think Un Jardin Sur le Nil is a very interesting composition.

I'm not sure what came when; so much is new TO ME. I think I may be still living in 2004, haven't caught up yet, but Oliban by Keiko Mecheri, Agent Provocateur and L'Instant are newer releases that are my favorites. Agent is very similar to something else I have worn, just can't remember what it is. And, judging by many reviews, I should be able to purchase L'Instant for a quarter on the discount sites in the not too distant future. By 2006, I should have a few 2005 releases adorning my shelves.

JAG, Agent P. reminds me of something, too. I keep thinking something Avon had ages ago, but couldn't name the fragrance. Wish i could put my finger on it.

Agent Provocateur smells exactly like Coriandre by Jean Couturier.

Since I've had Agent Provocateur for over a year that's not new to me....
The best to ME is Opium Fleur de Shanghai
I got Prada in a swap and it's nice but....nothing to shout about.
