Counting ...

I don't know who's up for this, but can you bring yourself to count *all* the scents you have and post the final number here?!

Rules:
- all EdT, EdP, parfums, essences, samples - however small -, oils, waxes etc allowed
- no body lotions, deos and similar, empty vintage bottles allowed
- no scents you used to have allowed. This is purely here and now.
- duplicate (or more) bottles of the same scent count as one

I can't wait to get your anwers. Start counting ...

No, I can't do it. I still haven't finished my Basenotes wardrobe. Sorry. :'( Maybe one day soon...

Ok, I'll try to do this over the weekend. Except I don't think I'll count the samples... This will be good motivation to get my collection more organized. 8)

Oh my. I didn't really count. I'm so good about keeping my Basenotes wardrobe updated, I can immediately tell you that I own 243 different scents. :-[ But, then again, there are a few aren't in the Basenotes Directory.....yet (making notes to add them to the Missing Fragrance list for Grant to add). And there's no way I'm gonna try to count samples and decants: my wardrobe is embarrassing enough, even among perfume junkies. My sample collection is really in need of organizing and streamlining. :-[

Oops, can you tell I'm new here ... I've only just found out about Basenote Wardrobe - what a great idea it is!!

I split it up into different categories.

edp ~ edt ~ colognes: 60
perfume oil ~ extracts: 13
parfum: 1
solid perfume: 1
minis: 21

Now, I know you said body lotions and such were not to be included, but I do use bath and body items as a scent of the day sometimes, so...

body sprays ~ splashes: 14
lotions ~ creams ~ body butters: 14
dry oils: 3

Any duplicates, or the same scent in different forms (eg. the body lotion of a fragrance) were excluded. I didn't even touch any of the decants and samples.

This was fun and a good exercise, because now I have an inventory of what I own. Of course it is also more glaringly apparent just how much sits around and doesn't get used. :-[ Now the next step is to get rid of the ones that were mistakes, and to wear more of the forgotten ones. 8)

28 edt/edp sprays
16 samples and decants

2 edt/edp sprays in transit (on order)
23 samples in transit

Quite modest compared to some around here. I think I'm still in control ???
