Seeking out some new terrain here, so...
I wonder; which scents do you find similar to L'Air Du Temps? And which scents would you think of as more modern versions of this (very good) scent?

L'Air du Temps has long been the reference of carnation scents. While the vintage l'Air du Temps was an enchantment, the fragrance you find in the stores nowerdays is not up to the former prestige.
There is also the fact that l'Air du Temps is curiously part of those few fragrances that turn into sheer horror when encountering a highly acid body chemistry.

As for more modern interpretations of carnation, undoubtedly there are CdG Carnation which mixes the flowers to blood orange peels. The beautifully concentrated carnation fragrance Garofano by Lorenzo Villoresi has, not much in common with l'Air du Temps.

There is also Caron's Bellodgia which transports the carnation flower on a breeze of the Lake Como or the very British Malmaison by Penhaligon.

Fidji by Guy Laroche smells more modern to me eventho it's 30 years old. It has a greener start and a more tropical heart.

Moschino is my favorite carnation based scent. It's not as light, airy or powdery as L'AdT, but rich, lush, and earthy.
