shopping lists

Oh how I love writing lists of the stuff I want to buy next and how I LOVE to mark them as bought or delete them from said lists. Always do it with a lot of joy and fulfillment. My hardest task is to stay true to those lists and avoid impulse purchases, which is almost always impossible, but still something I struggle hard to maintain since my shopping lists just grows larger and larger if I never go ahead.

I've been very good this month actually and only got stuff I've noted as much needed fragrances. The only one to arrive yet is Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Aqua Motu. That one was actually almost an impulse buy, but I'll let it slip this time.
One their way are:
L'Artisan - L'Eau de L'Artisan (thank you viktorov)

I've had it as a sample for quite a while and even though it is light and fleeting I can't help but love the grassy topnotes. I wanted this one for a long time now and when viktorov's offer came up on the sell board I took my chance.

Montale - Soleil de Capri (thank you maisonstinky)

Out of the 10 samples I ordered from Vijay, SdC was one of the instant loves. I have another 2-3 I really like as well and some of them will be future purchases for sure. I hope this one will become my summer staple with it's adorable creaminess.

Serge Lutens - Daim Blond (thank you Ebay)

Finally, the scent I've adored for I don't know how long (well actually, from the same time scentuer7/perfumecritic's decants landed on my porch, but I can't remember when that was) and said that I want to force it to become my signature scent wearing it exclusively for a month, is finally on it's way home to me. Why oh why did I wait this long? Magic and seduction in a bottle. I always envy the ones how get to smell my surroundings while I'm wrapped in this fragrance. Daim Blond reminds me of why I got into fragrances in the first place...

Santa Maria Novella - Nostalgia (thank you mum and dad)

Last but certainly not least, Nostalgia! My parents are on vacation in Italy and passed through Florens yesterday. They just scent me a SMS telling me they bought me a bottle. This is a new love, but one I've had so high hopes on. dr.creed helped me with a small decant and it was love at first sniff. It is everything it promised and more. And my girlfriend just loves it on me!

I can't believe how many sought after fragrances there are coming my way this month. I wish I stayed true to my shopping lists more.

Coming purchases:
Frederic Malle - Vétiver Extraordinaire
Frederic Malle - Musc Ravageur
Serge Lutens - Chergui
Comme des Garçons - Odeur 71
Comme des Garçons - 2 Man
Costes - Room Spray
Diptyque - Philosykos
Gendarme - Carriere
Montale - Wood & Spices
Montale - Ginger Musk
L'Artisan - Passage D'Enfer
L'Artisan - Tea for Two
Agatha Brown - Conquest
Shiseido - Basala
Gianfranco Ferré - Ferré

What have you got?

Fun thread shifts...

I'm looking forward to blowing my cash on the new Burberry London and varvatos vintage, which are both due out soon... I've also been thinking about investing in some Creed OV for the summertime and, for the fall, some Montale Greyland from Vijay and either Luten's Fumerie Turque or Daim Blonde.

I just received last friday my bottle of Basala (great juice, by the way) and are on their way:

10 Corso Como
CSP Le Roi Santal
L'Orientaliste Eau de Santal EDP.

Still on my shopping list:

Montale Attar
Lauder by Estee Lauder
L'Occitane Vétyver
L'Artisan Voleur de Roses
Probably one CdG from the Incense series (not sure which one, yet)

And that's it, by now...

Yes! Amazing! I still have some left from a sample dr.creed included when I got some decants from him, but I will very soon run out so I bet that one will be coming this way next month. I really can't add another one to my purchased-list this month.
I`m now getting ready to buy No.88 in full sized...Still have to save just some...(130euros-160dollars in First in Fragrance, have to buy this from there)

Well, between now and August, I have big plans. I just bought Angel Men Summer Flash, for starters, and I'm cleaning out some of my lesser-liked scents.

Next up will be some decants... one of Dzing! and one of Michael for Men. A bottle of Marc Jacobs for Men may be in the pipeline as well.

Finally, come August, I'll order Gaultier2 in the dual magnetic bottles. Though this scent will eventually become one of my staples, I'd prefer not to get it until the weather here cools down.

Martin,
please check your PM's (or email) ASAP. I'm the Ebay seller you bought the "Daim Blond" from. Need to ask you something about shipping of the item. Thanks.
The divine Carthusia Ligea La Sirena will most likely be my next purchase.
I scratched a biggie off of my shopping list recently with the purchase of a bottle of Dzing!

Also bought this month: a decant of Tauer L'Air de Desert Marocain and just today finalized a purchase of a bottle of L de Lolita Lempicka (thanks to Esti2) It hadn't been on the wish list very long, but had moved up the ranks very quickly.

Next up? hmmmm I've been eyeing a few things on ebay ... and if I like Lonestar Memories as much as I think I will...

2.L' Air du Desert Morocain

I can never keep up with my lists. Revisions, additions, mutations etc.
Currently on my shopping list to buy over the next year are:

Creed Tabarome Millesime
Creed Bois du Portugal
Creed Himalaya (maybe)
Trumper Sandalwood
Gucci Envy
one Hermes frag (either Equipage, Bel Ami or Terre)

New replacement bottles of:

Chanel Egoiste
Chanel Antaeus
Guerlain Vetiver

If I pluck up the courage to start wearing less conservative frags:

Serge Lutens Daim Blond (or Chergui if I can find it)
maybe i'll succumb to the pressure and finally buy a L'Artisan - if so, it'll be Mechant Loup or Tea for Two

Waiting to pick up from my parents' place:

Azzaro PH
YSL Rive Gauche (already have a near full 75mL bottle, but picked up a 125mL tester for A$35!)
FM Vetiver Extraordinaire

Fun!

Oh, I forgot to mention that this week I also ordered online Larrikin EDT for men from Mount Romance Direct in Australia.

Top Notes: Fresh and Green with Bergamot, Pine and Clary Sage.

Heart Notes: Spicy and resinous notes of fern and Cinnamon combined with just a touch of floral from Rosewood and Carnation.

Base Notes: Woody, leathery, powdery with Australian Sandalwood, Cedarwood Amber and Patchouli.

Look forward to testing this one...

Bought way too much in or around June - Portos, Ungaro I and III, Havana, New West, Centaure, Relax, Zino, as well as some decants and some samples...so I am trying to slow down in July. Right now Lonestar Memories is at the top of my list. I may have to add a Parfumerie Generale scent if any of those samples work out. And of course my eyes are always open for good deals on classics, especially the lower-cost designer ones.
I bought way too many as well recently...going to put a hold on it until maybe September or October...but then I will probably start exploring the L'artisan line...if the samples I requested finally arrive. They all sound so nice that I figured I better try to narrow it down to a few instead of all...now that my creed binge has ended... =)
For me:
1. Lacoste Essential
2. Bright Visit
3. Davidoff Game
4. Davidoff Silver Shadow
5. Armani Mania

Just a short list for now.
I don't really have a shopping list anymore like I used to but let's say:
Jicky (parfum extrait)
Mona di Orio: Carnation

I recently made some great bargains: got Daim Blond and Cèdre from Strawberrynet where they were sold on the same price as all the other SL scents! So I "saved" 60 $...
Save your money KiatBkk...Lacoste Essential is completely unimpressive...I bought a bottle when it first came out and it was really just same old same old....this was prior to basenotes and made the mistake of listening to a department store SA...Though, I recently received a sample of Silver shadow from Stuigi and it is a pretty nice frag...Thanks for a great sample Stuigi...

I'm looking for many things. Unfortunately they are hard to find and expensive. I don't have the money for that kind of transaction so I am on a time out...

Some that I am lookin to buy are:
Patchouli Leaves
Patchouli Patch
Fumerie Turque
M7 Fresh
Santal Noble
Flowerbomb

^^ all expensive juices and that is not agreeing with my budget right now....
It's quite a long time (for BN standards) since I last bought a scent, I'm quite happy that lately I've been able to resist temptation and keep the size of my wardrobe under control, but there are a couple of scents that I have on my wish list and eventually will end up in my bathroom rack. One of them is Guerlain Jicky, and the other one is Kyoto, but I'm still undecided between this one and Tumulte (or even Gucci PH). SMN Nostalgia is another one that I might end up purchasing after many tests.

Getting prepared for SUMMER:

Monsieur Balmain and Miracle Homme L'Aquatonic are on the way from fragrance direct (thanks to Belial for that shopping tip).

Some Creed Royal Water from the wonderful Esti.

Yesterday I received Agua Fresca (Adolfo Dominguez) which I'm wearing today.

Cacharel's Nemo and Fendi's Theorema Uomo arrived, too. The first is too synthetic, but I love the Fendi.

And (drumroll) my very own citrus scent courtesy of the incredible Mike Storer (minute details will follow)

Also have two Taurer samples coming.

And some Ulric de Varens, which I got for one Euro (that's worth the risk):
Rectoverso Blue Lagoon
Best of
Fun

Still on my shopping list: The complete ranges of Creed, Artisan Parfumeur, Villoresi, Annick Goutal, Penhaligon's :-))))). God, and I only have forty years left statistically. Do you think the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would consider sponsoring a really nice person's frag addiction? After all, the world will smell a little better for it :-)))

O Really? I've never tried it myself but since I heard many positive reviews I thought I would put it in the list, but how to purchase is still not decided. If I can find a cheap one online I will buy it blind, if not, of course, I'll test it before buying it. Thanks anyway :-)
My list is pretty short:

Guerlain Aprés L'Ondée
L'Artisan Passage d'Enfer
Knize Ten

Then there's the "want" list, ´which is quite a bit longer than the "going to get" list.
