What is your signature scent? - Page 3

I don't have one. I am too diverse right now.

Havana Reserva
Havana
Rive Gauche Intense
I love so many that I don't have a signature fragrance. If I had to choose only one it would be Uomo? Moschino.
hmm.. It`s a difficult one, but i think the two fragrances i use most is Guerlain Vetiver and L`Instant de Guerlain..
Well here are the 4 frags that I prefer more than any others the past six months. Pressed to choose one fragrance? I couldn't...Givenchy Vetyver and Montale - Red Vetyver will have to agree to exist together.

The other two are: Bond - Bleecker Street and CDG - Vettiveru

My newly found absolute favorite fragrance and signature-to-be-for-quite-some-time...
ETRO New Tradition.
I find it to be the perfect combination of all my favorite notes: lavender, rose, vetiver, patchouli, herbs...it's very fresh and aromatic, like a damp garden full of herbs and roses. Lasts all day on me (and into the next day on clothes), yet it doesn't have ridiculously strong projection so never seems "perfumey" and always smells natural.
And ETRO even makes a New Tradition shoe shine sponge, how cool is that!

My other, closest to 'signature frags' are L'Anarchiste and Versace Pour Homme.

Narciso Rodriguez may get moved into that rotation, too.
I can honestly say that I don't have a signature scent. But it would appear that Santos Eau de Sport is starting down that path.
For me it has to be Bois du Portugal. I really love the stuff.
I had Acqua Di Gio for such a long time, and I recently bought a new one again, but I'm afraid Dior Homme took over, although, tomorrow I'll get the new Baldessarini - Strictly Private, so who knows.
I would have to say, at this point, it would be Creed, BdP, but I tend to hoard it so I do not wear it as often as I would like. I used to do the same thing with clothes, buy a $200 pair of jeans and never want to wear then for fear of damaging them or only wanting to wear them for special times. Anyway, I love the citrusy woody smell of BdP, but my senses have been changing so much lately I do not know how long this will last for.
Signature scent according to others: Clinique Happy or Kenneth Cole Reaction

Signature scent according to myself: Lolita Lempicka au Masculin
post #134 of 417
Probably Profumum Thundra. Although, like TheAttorney with his Bois du Portugal, I tend to "hoard" it.

Yes man, absolutely!
If I could only wear one...Terre d'Hermes
post #137 of 417
Now the closest to it is 1872 Clive Christian. I just have a sample, but so little is needed that it'll keep for ages.
Signature Scent..Geesh....Lawd....this changes moment to moment....Hour to Hour.....

Yesterday: 10:00am - Cannabis Santal
Last Night: 7:30pm - Polo Reserve

Today: 7:00am - Heritage
Tonight: 8:15pm - Probably be Straight to Heaven

You get the picture. HA HA

Tomorrow: Who knows, it could be Bay Rum...LOL

Best,

Otto

Mitsouko
According to my friend, it's Dior Homme. She tells me I "don't smell right" if I'm not wearing it and I see her.
Personally, I don't think I've got one!
Oh, it's Escada Pour Homme--I wear it more than anything else, for sure. It's the one scent I own that I cannot imagine myself without.

However, I am still in the whirlwind introductory sniffing/learning/loving stage and my tastes are certain to change like the winds of a long-off Upstate summer. I received a bunch of samples last week and the earth around me began to shake: Evil, thy name is niche...

LOL!! (I shouldn't wonder, when I'm so compellingly tempted... )

I love this approach! Its actually much more practical for most BNers too, since the overwhelming majority of us shrink from a single signature.

"At gun point..." as Galamb_Borong said.

I'm still working on mine.

Seems to be Himalaya right now.
My rotation nowadays is:

Burberry London

Le Male

Fleur du Male

Fahrenheit 32

Aqva Pour Homme Marine
Used to be Bulgari pour homme. Lately I've been wearing Guerlain vetiver as my go to scent.
Platinum Egoiste

GIT

EDOV

UJEM

BA

BS

others...
If by signature, you mean that others can recognize me by scent, then no I don't have one. Too many varied fragrances in my rotation right now. But if I had to choose one, I suppose it would be Chanel PM (1955). Or Dior Homme.Or possibly Boid d'Iris. Then again, if I had the money to spring for a bottle, it might very well be Iris Pallida or Iris Silver Mist.

Oh, dear...
Azzaro PH
Two more possible contenders: Arpège pour Homme and the original (1981) Burberry's for Men
post #152 of 417
My signature scent has changed over the years.....my first cologne was Avon Crisp Lime.

.....in early high school, it was Pierre Cardin PM.....later on, it was Azzaro PH. Early college and through my mid 20's it was Polo Green......followed by Gravity in my late 20's and early 30's.

Now, I have a rotation and I love them all for differing reasons.
Floris No.89, - bottle number six right now
post #154 of 417
L'Artisan - Tea for Two has always been my signature. I wear it less often but it is the scent that people only associate with me. No one else I know or been around has worn it so I still have the rights, among my friends/family, at this time.
I don't think I have one. I'm having a lot of fun trying different things and have built up a small backlog of samples, so between those and what I already own, I tend to switch from day to day.
I should be getting more colognes in the mail
honestly ive tried over 25 so far and kouros is the one that really defines me
Im only 24 but I wear it like a pro
we will see what happens from here
I have given up on finding that particular scent that defines me. I tend to like groups of things, like Vetiver (Guerlain and Chanel), Caron's (L'A, PuH, #3, Yatagan, Lutens Chergui, a couple of Creed's GV and GIT and Malle (Musc Ravageur) All different. All Nice. MIne

LIke to trade a full bottle of Bois D'orage for Noir Espices
post #158 of 417
Don't really have a signature scent, but my go to guy has become Chanel Egoiste. This is the finest scent I own. It is so regal, refined, and sophisticated that I feel like it embodies the person I am (or want to be).
I avoid having a signature frag.

I like to be a scent chameleon.
Dior Homme Intense
I believe my new Baldessarini might be my signature scent, although, I'd probally use both Dior Homme + Strictly Private as signature.
I don't have one. I wear something different every day. But before, when I only had 3 colognes, I used Lucky Brand Lucky You the most. I don't use my best scents often; I save them for special occasions. Therefore my everyday scents tend to be something that I don't like as much.
Encre Noire by Lalique
If I had to pick one right now, it would probably be Encre Noire. But, it is hard to get down to even 5. The others right now are Terre d'hermes, CDG 2Man, YSL M7 Fresh, Burberry London and Bvlgari PH Soir. All are bottle worthy.

Hammam Bouquet by Penhaligons

Hammam Bouquet by Penhaligons

But I love Guerlain's Habit Rouge and Vetiver, as well as Dior's Eau Sauvage.

But Hammam is the frag that got me into fragrances.
I like any variation of Kouros that doesn't have the men's urinal note in it.

Dont' have one. Don't want one.
I tend to alternate the frags to often, in order to truly say that I have a signature scent.

Well, CdG Odeur 53 and Dior Homme.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta
I haven't been posting so much lately, because I've been so super happy with Mouchoir de Monsieur and haven't had so much interest in exploring new territories. It's almost signature, for now.
i havent i use to vary every day but if i would have just one bottle it would be mitsouko
post #179 of 417
Opium homme eau de parfum..without hesitation or regret
post #180 of 417
