Basenoters,

Looking for some help on finding a birthday gift for my brother.. details are as follows:

- 27 years old
- Thin, good looking chap or Polish/Czech decent
- Hot Tempered
- Somewhat "Urban" behavior *best way i could put that
- Drives a Mitsu Eclipse 2002
- Likes the ladies...
- Previous fave is Issey Miyake

Something off the beaten path...

Any suggestions would be great

Regards,
n8

Interesting you suggest A*Men.. i was kinda thinking that myself..

If he liked Issy M. He may be more adventurous and like Lorenzo Villoresi's "Uomo". Still same fragrance family, but has more crispness to it.

I'm not a personal fan, but he sounds like the perfect A*Men candidate. Although if he goes clubbing alot it's not that far off the beaten path, it's definetly a change of pace from Issey Miyake. One catch with A*Men is people generally *love* it or *hate* it, so he'll either use it all the time, or use it once then never again.

You might also consider L'eau par Kenzo, or maybe Bulgari Blu pour Homme? Both of these are safer choicesas a gift, as theyre more "fresh" scents, although I think both have more depth in the middle and basenotes than most clean/fresh scents that make them both more interesting, and also able to to pull both day and night duty.

GEIR -- third that. I still need to order from Vijay as my sample is dead dry. Great stuff. mm

Geir? Sorry, Norway doesnt seem all that powerful if judged by this scent.

I would recommend Grabazzi by Gendarme instead.

Based on you description I would say A*men or Unforgivable.

What about Dreamer?

If his favorite is L'Eau d'Issey than it may be a bit risky to go straight away for A*Men; I see L'Eau d'Issey and A*Men at the opposite extremes of each other...

Some other you could consider:

Azzaro pour homme
Azzaro Visit
Boucheron Jaipur
Chanel Platinum Egoiste
Davidoff Zino
Gucci pour homme
Terre d'Hermes
Lancome Miracle L'Aquatonic
Lanvin L'Homme
Rochas Aquaman
Rochas Lui
YSL Rive Gauche

Pay attention. By man by d&g gets womens attention, on my skin it does. Now there's a lot out there that you may have to pay more for and the question is, will he like it. This is the 1 that nobody has yet to mention. After all the big frag names and hype, talk, and all. In the land of those giants and when the smoke finally clears, the one standing will be By man. So reach for the zebra box. We always underestimate the underdog, which is one of the true gems.
