Has anyone had a chance to try it yet?

all the people i know who have tried the fragrance say it's very interesting, in a Serge Lutens Datura Noir style! the bottle is nice, even if i didn't catch the Givenchy universe in it, and they're gonna blow it because oif the name (hard to wear in muslim countries and probably troubles with Thierry Mugler's Angel) and the visual (the girl- French prime minister's girl- is almost ugly!)

Yes I have. Strangely the sa was not that fussed about it,she thought it smelt of oranges on her. On me it is soft spicy floriental. It starts very white flowers and then delevops into floriental with lots of tonka bean. I found it nice but nothing unusual.

I have tried it and was blown away by it... I loved it... and really want it too Funny how it was the ONLY scent I could smell at the store the day I was sampling because I had a cold and my nose was out of commission for a few days prior! Ange ou Demon was the first thing I was able to smell after a few days of suffering in my loneliness of olfactory void! But it was so worth the wait to wake up to this blissful fragrance... My nose felt like Sleeping Beauty awoken my the kiss of Ange ou Demon

My husband says that it opens up with some mintyness, of course this I could not detect at all, but was perhaps the very thing that opened up my sinuses LOL

In fact Ange ou Demon just might be my favorite Givenchy of all times... I never was a big fan of Amarige and never got into Hot Couture collection or even their Irresistible(s) but this really is a very nice surprise one that I will have to make a part of my permanent collection

Notes for Ange ou Démon
Top: white thyme, mandarin orange from Calabria and essence of saffron
Heart: maxillaria orchid, white lily and ylang ylang
Base: tonka bean, vanilla, rosewood and oak wood absolute

This is a real comeback to the real Givenchy fragrance style. Ange ou Démon is as strong and extravagant as Ysatis, Amarige, Organza and Hot Couture. It's very French but not in a young "Mademoiselle" way, rather "Madame" or even "Maîtresse" way.

My friend who works for Givenchy could not believe she sold out of every bottle on release day!!!! Usually it seems it takes three tries before people buy a new fragrance, well for her anyway. Even the body lotion sold out too.

Wow! Sounds like AoD has taken people by storm.

Though Givenchy isn't one of "my" houses, I'll definitely give this one a try, I'm curious about it.

Sorry for bumping the thread but can you imagine this one has NOT been launched over here yet??!!

Thanks to the fragrance fairy, it is my SotD today. And what I got here is sitting close to skin creamy woody-floral very much in the style of Tan Giudicelli Annam (and I agree about the resemblance to Datura Noir too, but cleaner and more elegant). A fragrance for yourself rather than for making a statement. Nice, but not FBW for me.

I tried it this weekend and I think I really like it but I had smelled so much at that point my nose was numb. I will have to give it another try next week. The SA was really pushing Hanae Mori Magical Moon so I was a little distracted.

I love this scent. It strikes me as sophisticated and sensual and can be worn by both young and older women alike - for a classic fashionista (or is that an oxymoron?).

I've been wanting to give this a try. I was at Dillards not long ago and asked at the YSL counter ... of course the SA acted like I was speaking in a foreign language, she had not heard of it.

Reporting back from wearing it all day: it does not really evolve that much and the longevity is fantastic (well, I have yet to try a Givenchy that will not last!).

Really OT: Shades, LOVE your new avatar!!!
