What are the top 100 rated scents on basenotes?

I see the top ten or so on the homepage, but I'm curious where the other colognes stand.

Here is a formula that can be used to calculate the ranking, that factors in the amount of people that have rated the fragrance (saw it on IMDB.com):

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:
weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C

where:
R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 1300)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 6.8)
for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.

Is there a formula for 'too much time on your hands?'

I would recommend a scientific calculation for determining the ranking of scents:

L x H x CM
---------
V

where

L = length of sillage in meters
H = hours of longevity
CM = number of cubic meters of air people in the world inhale a day sniffing of
the scent.
V = number of people who vomit immediately when they smell it.

I mean a literal top 100. Right now, basenotes just lists the top ten rated.. how about extending that list a bit? Maybe top 25?

All kidding aside, however, this is an EXCELLENT idea. I'd love to see the results for both men and women.

OK, I've used IMDB's formula on the Basenotes wardrobes. If between you, you can guess 20 of the top 100, I'll print the list!!

Is this the top 100 men's, or top 100 overall?

100 overall - but its mostly mens and unisex, due to the gender imbalance on the site!

By Jeminy, this is what I call satisfaction! Is it possible to separate women and drop the #of votes to 5 to see what the ladies auxillary is thinking?
