I read that this is actually out now at Nordstrom's and is a very soft, quiet scent. Has anyone tried it yet? What did you think? The bottle looks great.

KenzoAmour just came out this week here in Brussels. Sampled it (on a strip only) today.
First of all, fans of FlowerbyKenzo and KenzoSummer powdery notes will be happy to hear that KenzoAmour keeps that Kenzo style.
Here is a quick reminder of the notes:
Kenzo Amour is a musky floral.
-top notes: cherry blossom, rice and white tea
-heart notes: frangipani and heliotrope
-base notes: thanaka wood, vanilla and musk
I was expecting Amour to be much more floral; yet it's rather woody, but not like the spicy woody notes of FlowerbyKenzo Oriental. Amour opens on a cherry note (rather than cherry blossom) and the soft rubber-like aroma of white tea. I don't detect much of the fraginpani, no white flower animal "indole" here. The floral element that really gives Amour it's central character is the heliotrope. Those almond-like floral notes combined with thanaka wood (like a soft spicy cedar) and vanilla base really are reminiscent of Dior's Hipnotic Poison, yet Amour is much less extravagant (and less gourmand). Amour finally ends on Kenzo's signature musky powdery trail.
KenzoAmour reminds me in parts of several other fragrances: FlowerbyKenzo, MyQueen, Hypnotic Poison and even of "L" by Lolita Lempicka. So, it is different of most fragrances put on the market nowadays, still it is not really original enough IMHO. Easy to wear on every occasion. The packaging is really eye-catching.
Final verdict: Good but a little disappointed.

The base reminded me of Ormonde Jayne's base in Ta'if and Champaca - ambery, musky, vanillic. I liked KenzoAmour but will need to give it another try. I didn't notice the cherry blossom so much, in fact, the florals were very subdued and unoticable. So was the rice. But overall it did have a slightly gourmand feel to it, with the sophisticated musk an amber and vanilla base (not unlike KenzoFlower either).
