Nicole- YOU've received a lot of good advise and suggestions from your thread. Now it's up to you to decide what works for you. You 'll base this of course on your budget, what you're drawn to ( florals, orientals ). If you ask: "Coco Chanel is too old for me"? Maybe it is or you woudn't be asking such questions. Ask your friends your age and find out what they're wearing. Sometimes, asking for suggestions doesn't really help because instead of leading you to the direction, you got confused. So now is the time for you to take action and find out for yourself what you like. Good luck with your choice!

I don't think it is, it really depends where you wear it to.

oooo indeed i must second this one

gucci rush is another one, but it's quite popular, dont know if that may turn you away from it.
Theres this one Creed EdP, I dont know the name but holy shit was it wonderful. I tried in on a friend in Nieman Marcus the other day, and i just smiled unvoluntarily, like a little kid. It was like frolicking/feminine-- jussst precious, if anyone has an idea which it is PM me! Its not spring flowers =( thought it would be.

After reading all this thread Nicole, I've not yet really figured out what kind of 15yo girl you are... What's your style? you ask, ask, read the replyes and comment but you don't talk too much about yourself... I mean, after many pages I know nothing about you except you don't like too floral frags.
However, I'll try to add my 2 cents naming some recent discoveries and some old juices...
Cartier Delices: very nice young juice, in the vein of candy-like smells, but brillantly crafted how it has to be expected from Cartier.
Nina Ricci Nina: another candy-like, a bit fruity, but pleasant, not chemical.
Hermes Eau des Merveilles: imo this is a juice that will become timeless, worn by 90yo women as well as 15yo gals.
Paul Smith London: nice modern spicy oriental; it reminded me a tamed and less cloying version of feminité du bois.
Narciso Rodriguez edt: a modern musky with sexy cremy and sligtly floral touch

Honestly the best thing I ever smelled on a girl (whom I liked) was Abercrombie & Fitch for Women. It was a couple of years ago though, and I can't remember what it was like now.

Yes, I do love Delices de Cartier.
I don't know what to say about myself...I like to smell innocent. Two of my favorites are YSL Baby Doll and Vera Wang Princess. I like baby doll because it's been described as innocent with a twist of sexy, and I can see how it's that.

Agreed. A very, very irresistable scent.

I haven't smelled a whole lot of womens' fragrances that are light and not floral, but one that I have smelled that is only vaguely floral but complex and intriquing is Lauren by, of course, Ralph Lauren. It is from the 80's so it's not likely to be familiar to your younger friends but I find it compelling.

About the attraction to your thread. Guys love young ladies. That's how we're wired, and the chance to have an influence on your sensual life is irresistible. I don't think it's pervy. It's just a guy thing. Hey, I'm gay and I thought "what a great chance to introduce a young girl to the wonderful world of olfactory intrigue". Besides, everyone loves to tout their favs to a fresh ear. I totally agree with Czesc's observations.

I obviously love perfume... I hate lavendar, jasmine, and violet, I love vanilla.

New York (unisex IMO)

Ignition (loads of vanilla and unisex too)

Premier Figuier

This one made me laugh. I can't quite imagine what it would have been like when I was 15 if I smelled that on a girl, the latter, that is.

There's a lot of good information here, I don't actually have anything to contribute as far as suggestions are concerned, but as you've already mentioned your comfort level with certain scents and confidence level with yet others still, is really all that matters. Wear it and wear it well and it will be what you want.

Good luck.

All amazing inmo!

But to add one more no one has mentioned yet: L'Artisan - La Chasse Aux Papillons (http://www.luckyscent.com/shop/detail.asp?itemid=15206). OMG what a beauty it is!

Com'on guys, you can't be serius. Chanel No.5 on a 15 year old?! Coco Chanel?! For crying out loud... There's more than enough time for those powerful scents in her adult life...
If you insist on Chanel let it be Coco Madmoiselle, though not my favourite.

What's wrong with Ralph's "Romance"? YSL's "Paris" or "In love again"? "Escape" by Klein?

Hugs, Miguel.

Hey... I know no one has recommended this, but you should definitely try DKNY Be Delicious! It is fruity, slightly watery and smells like crisp green apples.

The notes :

Top Notes : Cucumber, Grapefruit, Magnolia
Middle Notes : Lily-of-the-Valley, Tuberose, Green Apple, Violet, Rose
Base Notes : White Amber, Woods

Another one I'm quite fond of - Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci! This one is a little darker, but it's still youthful. This is what I would call "very lady and the tramp".

The Notes :

Top Notes : Bergamot, Rhubarb
Middle Notes : Moon Flower, Rose, Tuberose
Base Notes : Patchouli, Vanilla, Sandalwood

And now - if you like something that is luminous and playful as well as something dark and sexy, nothing can do the the job better than Chanel's Chance.

The Notes :

Top Notes : Quince, Pink Pepper, Water Hyacinth
Middle Notes : Pineapple, Jasmine, Iris
Base Notes : Patchouli, Vetiver, Amber, Vanilla, White Musk

The last - the very obvious, Britney Spears' Fantasy!

The Notes :

Top Notes : Kiwi, Litchi, Citruses
Middle Notes : Orchid, Freesia, White Chocolate, Jasmine
Base Notes : Vanilla, Orris Root, Vetiver

I'd go old school with Anais Anais. Old school, not old smelling.

This thread is from 2006 so she is no longer 15 but 20 perhaps 21 and no doubt found what she like from the suggestions back in 2006.
