Only using Adg...need a new fragrance

Reg'd here on Saturday, read some posts, and went to the store to sample cologne - only onesI really sug beyond Adg was Azzarro Chrome - somewhat similiar, but wasn't ready to buy.


Any other very good (and well-reviewed) daytime colognes, in the fresh/clean/citrus category?

Welcome aboard! To answer your question - there are probably a few hundred fresh/clean/citrus scents that you'll be recommended. Try searching any or all of those words on the "just starting out" board. I know there are a few threads where lists and descriptions of good ones have been compiled.

As for my favorites in the category - I don't like ADG so none of these are really at all similar to it:

YSL Live Jazz
YSL M7 Fresh
Lanvin L'Homme
Trumper's GFT (just got it today )
Gendarme

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find any of those in a department store. If your mall has a Sephora or Perfumania or something similar, you might find some of them.

CD Eau Savage..it's a classic....vetiver scent...

l'eau d' issey ..fresh and lasts a lot and great sillage

You might also try Aqua di Parma,cologne....it's great...

I second Mugler Cologne, Gendarme, and Live Jazz

Some others are Cool Water, Eau Sauvage, Guerlain Vetiver, and Kouros Cologne Sport.

you could try Versace Metal Jeans, Chanel Allure Sport, Bvlgari Aqua? Those frags are similar, particularily Bulgari Aqua.
But i'd recommend trying some of the YSL's as well.

Creed's Himalaya to me is an incredible clean/fresh feeling. I also like the GFT line. They have multiple goodies.

I've worn chrome before but don't like it a lot, L'eau D'issey is in my top 5 or so right now, Baldessarini Del Mar might not be bad(just posted in a Boss Thread so its front of mind) Chanel Allure Sport isn't a lot like AdG but it does well with beginners.
