For an August wedding?

I am going to a wedding on Sunday. The weather in the area (north of London) promises to be cool and grey (about 20 degrees C). I am not one of the principal guests so will not be wearing formal morning dress - just dark lounge suit.

Any suggestions for a scent? Preferably one from my wardrobe as funds are a bit tight at the mo!

Many thanks

Dior Homme!

Rochas Moustache would be an excellent choice, warm and somewhat formal.

O great communist one,
I'm thinking Equipage or Carven Vetiver, but leaning towards Equipage. Eau Sauvage is of course always a prime choice.

I would go with either Dior Homme, Chanel Pour Monssieur, or the always-right, always perfect Eau Sauvage, it's such a classic. But probably Dior Homme would be the best if the weather is cool, as it is slightly sweet and warm.

The Chanel would be a good choice I think.

Don't you think it is an opportunity to sport your "sandringham by crown perfumery"? The scent of a bounder.

Definitely GIT. You like it. It lasts on you. Why should the bride and groom get all the fun eh?

I don't seem to be able to access your wardrobe. Anyway, the suggestions of others, Dior Homme, Eau Sauvage or Chanel PM sound excellent. Probably lean toward the DH if the weather is cool.

Dior Homme, or Obsession.

Thanks for all the advice.

In the end I went for Hermes Equipage. I'm glad I did as it turned out to be not quite cool enough for the likes of Dior Homme (not my fave, anyway). The setting for the Reception in an old Manor House in the Chiltern Hills was magnificent. Equipage seemed to suit the mood perfectly.

We stayed in the old house over night and the following morning I slipped on some Eau Sauvage for the drive home. Back to reality today.........
