Whats the noticeable difference between the two.I dont smell a lot of difference although i think the sport is less sweet, which i like

Sport seems to have the aquatic notes up top. After that they seem to be pretty similar, although I'll have to say Sport on me is a bit less cloying than the original.

It is easy to describe:

Sport is Allure with a good shot of Acqua di Gio.

I am glad that I am not the only one that things like this. I find the top notes to be extremely similar to Acqua di Gio!

I really prefer the Allure sport.Ive worn it for about 10 hrs now and i can still smell it.I know most people will disagree and say they prefer the original. Its a great all day scent that lasts and lasts on me...ive found that the Chanel's have that lasting quality which is great!

I have both of them.

they are not so similar as you can think at first. Allure - is some kind of oriental, and sport - is more aquatic scent.
should say that sport - is the worst Chanel's scent. But I think it is the best seller.Chanel had to launch a ,,pop" scent.

but I have to acknowledge that sport, as all chanel's, is balanced and of high quality

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think of Allure as Allure Sport with an added "something": that something makes me think of the color dusty pink for some reason, and seems to "blend" the other 2 main scents together. (To me, Sport has 2 main scents mixed together, while Allure has 3.) Personally, I prefer Allure over Sport, but I can only handle so much of that "pink" scent: too musky for me.

i've always thought allure was more complex and much more sophisticated with all the woods. it has much more depth where allure sport is kind of the same all the way through.

i think sport is a great spinoff though. light, everyday and a great quick fix without being completely different than the original

both are great fragrances. Also, I think Platinum Egoiste is the worst Chanel that I've tried.

Other than the marine note in Sport, the peppers are different (looking at the pyramid) and I think I prefer Allure because of that Jamaican pepper. Sport just doesnt have that oomph with its black pepper.

I like all of the chanel men's scents, but i do think that allureHS is the weakest in comparison. There are not too many similarities with Allure Homme, but there are hints that make it some sort of sibling...AllureH is a lot more longlasting than AHS.
And i have never thought that AHS was anything like ADG...they are just too different, even at the top notes ADG (wich is in the aromatic-aquatic category) is a million times more frutal than AHS (wich is a spicy-woody scent), and the drydown is very different as well, ADG is all about white musks and weak (i didn't want to say soft) woods and AHS is all about vetiver/woods and amber to me..they are both "fresh" i'll give you that. Also, AHS has a very obvious top with aldehydes and ADG doesn't.

Personally I think it would be Pour Monsieur and Egoiste. Antaeus is masterfully blended too but not very versatile.

I tested both of these on the back of my hands the other day. I preferred the Sport version.
