A Serious Man.

*Featuring...*

The bleakest ending in the history of movies

The English Patient on dvd. The last time I saw it was when it was first shown in theaters (1996?). What an incredible movie!

Julie & Julia

I'm a Meryl Streep junkie, so of course I loved it.

Queer Duck The Movie. Again.

Up in the Air. Does the ending have to be bleak and depressing in order for it to be Oscar-nominated? We went to bed all bummed because of this movie.

You'd better not watch "A Serious Man" then. "Up in the Air" is like Sesame Street compared to that.

Legion- what a let down . It could have been so good.............

The Young Victoria on dvd with Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend. It was lush to watch and had a great cast but it seemed the typical costume parade with today's attitudes superimposed upon important historical characters. You know Prince Albert never said some of that stuff written into the script! I hate when they do that. Is it just unintentionally shallow writing, or is there an insulting assumption that viewers are not very intelligent? Anway, there were some good moments. Emily Blunt was great. Loved the guy who played the drunk King William, her uncle.

Shutter Island - very good . I read the book first and they kept to the plot pretty tightly.

The Princess and the Frog.

It was alright. I prefer the more mature animated movies from Pixar, but it was still good to see that Disney finally came out with a decent old-school animated film. The genre is not dead!

Watched "I Love You Beth Cooper" last night. It wasn't well received by critics, but I really liked it. A bit over the top, maybe. Then again, I also loved "All about Steve".

Daybreakers. Bleahh. I'll stick with my romanticized Twilight movies, thank you very much. It did make me laugh, though.

Innocents withe dirty hands (1975) by Claude Chabrol

The Informant!

It was cute and pretty funny. I like Soderbergh movies. Especially enjoyed hearing the main character's random, off-topic mental musings in the middle of his conversations.
