I looove boozy frags. Funny thing is, I have never drank (I'm 21)....

So anyways, whatcha got for me....

I'd recommend Escada PH, only because it's the one I have the most experience with. Very sexy, very good, and can be had on the cheap.

Good to hear I'm not the only person who doesn't drink (yet I go to the bars 5 nights a week and go to one of the biggest party schools... go figure).

Egoiste and JHL. Because they're two of the finest fragrances ever created and hard to fault IMO. Sequoia has a high quality rum-like accord.

Le Dandy by D'Orsay

Michael by Michael Kors

Lacoste pour Homme

Yohji Homme

Havana by Aramis

Vendetta Pour Homme by Valentino

* YSL M7
* Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male
* S.T. Dupont Signature

Egoiste. Although I'm not too big into boozy notes, this one has a bit of class and complexity.

I absolutely adore the booziness of the new Burberry London. I may have to start drinking port wine, in fact.
I don't drink either except for one Bud Lite a month but go no further than Le Dandy for "booze".

Well I drink. I've even danced on a table or two in my time.

I forgot about Escada PH, great boozy suggestion!

For me the boozy ones that come quickly to mind are:
CdG edp (their original scent as far as I know, and the one Tigrushka loves)
CdG White
And several patchoulis, L'Artisan Parfumeur's Patchouli, and silly me, I can't remember the other one that's really boozy, but LV's Patchouli and Molinard's Patchouli to a lesser degree.

If you like boozy fragrances, you may belong to the odd club of people who like Arsenal - a scent insired by gin and tonic, with notes of juniper, lime, green lemon and... white cognac!

Here are the notes:

Le Dandy, Michael and escada PH are very good rec's, fellas!! I'm with you all on those!

I will even add in:

Mechant Loup by L'Artisan: The hazelnut in it reminds me quite a bit of Frangelico liqueur!!

Blv Notte by Bulgari: The dark chocolate note harmonizes rather uniquely with the vodka note (I know...that sounds like a weird note to put into a fragrance, but I do detect it.). My quibble with this scent is that it seems to fade rather quickly off my skin.

DK Men by Donna Karan (Fuel, if you will...): The almond and the amber in it remind me of amaretto.

Lolita Lempicka au Masculin: Yeah, the "tree stump." Does remind me of the lighter Sambuca.

Good luck and Have fun!!

Does this mean I have a thing for boozy scents?

I love Égoïste, too.

Some more: AG Sables, FM Angéliques sous la Pluie (gin and tonic!), GD Biche dans l'Absinthe

Not at all. I have no idea if those scents that you and I like remind you of "boozy" the way they do me. I only mentioned your like of CdG edp to help identify it. Of course I'll be happy to remove that reference, I just thought it was neat to mention a fellow member's appreciation of a fine scent.

Sorry for the confusion.

No prob, it was just that I'm very fond of LV and (discontinued) L'Artisan Patchouli as well! (and I do like my vodotchka... )

Coriolan remembers me a mix of genepì (juniper berries liqueur) and absinth.
Funny that nobody named Voleur de Roses (its rosey-plum note is reminescent of some italian red vines) and Fumerie Turque which has definitely a boozy basenote.

I'd have to say Le Dandy as my top choice. Others that I like are:
Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe (has a vodka note)
Frank no. 2 (whisky-like note)
10 Corso Como (plum wine)
Miel de Bois (like honey liqueur)
Fou d'Absinthe (like this herbal stuff from Croatia Rakija)
Guess Men (original)(like cognac)

Thanks for the replies so far.

Out of the ones mentioned, I have Michael Kors, which prompted me to put up this thread, and M7.

I have a sample of Le Dandy and love it, the most addicting stuff ever.

I'm hearing a lot about Escada ph now and looking into checking it out. Anyone know a place to sample it??

I remember now that my bottle of Histoires de Parfums' 1828 claims to have a gin & tonic accord. It sort of does, but it's also sort of ordinary. Interesting to me that it's a light booze note instead of a heavy one though.

Gucci Eau de Parfum smells strongly of bourbon in the middle. Its really nice. Its a womens fragrance, but it reminds me strongly of Dolce & Gabbanas By Man, having that soap-and-confectioners-sugar drydown so typical of Italian designers scents.

Apothias unisex Velvet Rope is crisp and dry, like a vodka cocktail. This is one scent with a booze note vanilla-infused vodka that actually smells like it.

Eau de Cartier reminds me of cold, clean vodka, too.

I would suggest another "London" from another British House:
Paul Smith London, that is.Let's talk about brandy...

Idole de Lubin: rum, spices, smoke, tropical breeze. You can smell like a pirate.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Escada Magnetism!

The topnotes smell absolutely identical to a Captain Morgan rum and coke. The first time I smelled it, I thought it had to be some kind of novelty perfume. However, I bought a bottle of it the other day, and I really like it. After the rum & coke topnotes fade away a bit, the frag changes into something that's actually pretty classy.

The SA who presented me with Magnetism had never had a rum and coke, so she was no help. Has anyone else seen that resemblance?

J H L - very classy, powerful

My personal favorite is Knize Ten. It doesn't have an actual booze note in the pyramid, but it has a very boozey quality. Vintage Tabarome is another one that falls in this category.

..and Burgundy! I held that back because for some strange reason I like wines with traces of an additional scent, like violets, and even undefined 'perfume'. Perfumes however that remind of red wine, rum or cognac irritate me (compulsive drinker syndrome, I guess).

In this case I advise you to try some Marzemino (one of my fav red wines from Trentino) which is famous for having a floral rose note in its smell.

Cumming, the fragrance by Alan Cumming has Whiskey in its top notes and Cigar in its middle notes. When ever I wear it I feel like I'm sitting in front of a fire place drinking with friends.

A boozy fragrance which I've not actually tried but has me intrigued is Infusion by Bombay Sapphire.

Relax by Davidoff and Egoiste by Chanel

Royall Bay Rhum. It's great stuff.
Joop Jump for it's shot of vodka. The only frag I know that contains vodka (well, it's probably a synth vodka mixture).

Chanel Allure has a nice spicy, rum note. Very boozy. With all the Chanel mentions on this thread, I'm beginning to think they get their scent ideas at the bar!

TJMaxx/Marshalls usually have it at a good discount.

Demeter Gin & Tonic

Actually, I like the drink WAY more than this rendition of the scent. It's still fun to smell whenever I stumble on it @ Wild Oats.

The new Burberry London for men has completely and utterly won me over. It's now my go to boozy, comfy, sexy scent. It screams mulled wine in front of a fire.
