Most Bang For Your Buck

Below I've listed 20 male fragrances that -- IMHO -- give the consumer the most bang for his buck. (Many of the fragrances listed can be purchased on eBay and elsewhere for under $20.00, and many for even under $15.00.)
I'd love to hear other ideas out there!

(NO PARTICULAR ORDER -- 2 OF THE 20 NOW DISCONTINUED, BUT STILL VERY REASONABLY PRICED ON eBAY AND ELSEWHERE)

1.) Catalyst by Halston
2.) Halston 1-12 by Halston
3.) Carven Homme by Carven
4.) Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene
5.) Escada for Men by Escada
6.) That Man by Revlon
7.) Caron Pour Un Homme
8.) Heritage by Guerlain
9.) Pino Silvestre by Silvestre
10.) Azzaro Visit by Loris Azzaro
11.) Lagerfeld Classic by Lagerfeld
12.) Photo by Lagerfeld
13.) FCUK Him by FCUK
14.) Paul Sebastian for Men by Paul Sebastian
15.) Tabac (Original) by Tabac
16.) Kanon by Scannon
17.) Good Life by Davidoff
18.) Zino by Davidoff
19.) The Dreamer by Versace
20.) Versace Man by Versace

I know I'm becoming a Javari (The Body Shop) hyper here, but it is my newest buy and it definitely is a lot of bang for the buck.

Javari's very nice, yes, esp. for the price. That said, almost all the Body Shop scents are a lot of "bang for the buck." Oceanus is especially nice for a unisex scent, and Sandalwood and White Musk are equally good. Their patchouli is awfully linear, though -- Etro's is much better, as is L'artisan's. (But then the high price factor comes back in.)

hi,
how is the longevity for the Javari? How about the other BS offerings?
thanks,
mc

I haven't given it a full wear yet. From what I got from the back of my hand it should be reasonable. Not a Kouros of course, but good longevity non the less. No idea about the sillage yet. The other BS scents I haven't tried yet.

It's a pretty good all-around fragrance. It lasts forever on me, and projects pretty well. I do get complimented on it a bit. My only complaint is that it can be a bit too sweet in warmer weather. It's a warm fragrance and really works best in colder weather.
I'm not a huge fan of the other Body Shop stuff.
Oh, the Javari shower gel is great also.

Vijay (maisonstinky) sells Jean Pascal for a VERY reasonable price -- $35 for a 4oz bottle of EdT I believe. I'll be placing an order soon for this easy-to-wear, warm and spicy, but not overpowering, scent.

Jean Pascal homme is a good one - better than Quimbaya (which has a higher dose of spices).

Balenciaga Cristobal is a tremendous value.

I would definitely add Paco Rabanne XS and Iceberg Twice to that list.

Oops -- a few more a friend reminded me of:

Bandit for Men by Piguet

Fracas for Men by Piguet

Canoe for Men by Dana (Yes, I know it has its serious detractors, but also its fans.)

Lavender by Woods of Windsor

Bay Rum by Burt's Bees (or Royall, if you prefer that one)
