gupts

This post from gupts on the mood thread got me thinking. The first juice I ever used as a car/room freshener was one I hated purchasing. It was terrible, so I carried it around in my car for a couple of weeks and spritzed it into the ducts of the air conditioner ever so often. It worked much better in that role, and it gave me some sense of revenge against it. Haha, as punishment for stinking, I sentence you to life as a lowly car deodorizer.

Recently though I realized, as gupts noted, air dispersion is a good way to enjoy your favorite scents without committing to them for several hours. Ive done it with Brit in the house, Himalaya in the car, and a few others.

Does anyone else have any favorites that do double duty as air fresheners?

I do this with Gucci Envy as it turns sour on me.

Dunhill 2003

Nothing special, but I was in the mood and the bottle was in my hand ....

Nostalgia would be great in a "fast car".

I've never used an air freshener as an air freshener per se; but I often mist my sheets and other linens with Cinnabar, and sometimes with M7. (Body Kouros is nice for this, too.) I'd use my Bois de Portugal for this were it not so f-cking expensive.

I often use both Cinnabar and Youth Dew for drawer sachets and cedar closets. (Both Grey Flannel and Shalimar are great for this, too, and equally affordable.)

A friend of mine sprays all of his cedar closets and cedar chests with Canoe and -- believe it or not -- it works wonders. (Have yet to try this in my house, though. I'm still a diehard Cinnabar aficinado in this arena.)

Swiss Army! Mainly because here in Ottawa, it's dirt cheap.

Back when I had a car, I always liked when it smelled of Envy.

I like to spray the Hilfiger True Star in the air because there is an intoxicating pink starfruit note in the opening that I can NEVER detect on my own skin. It is the main reason I like this frag, so I'm saddened to say I have to spray it in the air to really enjoy it.

L'Occitane lavander spray. It works!

Yes! I use Body Kouros as a room spray because it lasts for ages. 3 or 4 sprays will keep my entire apartment smelling good well into the next day.

I've also used Jaipur homme and D&G ph. In the summer I have used Reaction. Kiehl's Original Musk goes on the sheets.

If CdG Avignon wasn't so expensive, I'd use that as a room spray, too. Ooh, and Ambre Sultan- I think I've found my new love
