Has anyone detected the smell of someone chewing gum before? It seems like mint/fresh gum is hard to detect, but the fruity flavors of bubblegum can have some ridiculous sillage! I don't know if it is sold everywhere, but I was chewing the pink Orbit flavor the other day and several people asked me for a piece. I chew pretty discreatly, so I asked how each person how they knew I was had gum, and they all told me they could smell it from a mile away. I didn't think to post simply about that, but this morning a student next to me in class had the same Orbit gum - I would recognize it anywhere. Funny how I can detect that gum as though it were a popular cologne. Before we know it, companies will start branching into designer fragrance gum - that'll be the day!
