Multiple bottles of the same perfume!!!

Thread Starter
We all like some of our fragrances so much that we tend to gather multiple bottles of some of them for reasons of scarcity or pricing etc..These bottles are our prized possessions and we stash them..we love them so much so that the idea of not having them one day haunts us..

Our greed shows up when we see a bottle somewhere and we just try to snap it, the only hindrance being our limited resources...We ofcourse take pride when we look at them and feel happy seeing these bottles nestled in our wardrobe...

Well i have 2 or more bottles of each of the following fragrances:

M7 Fresh
Witness by Jacques Bogart
Antaeus
Havana

Badessarini.

I NEED a bigger bottle of The Dreamer so very soon, I'll have two of them. :-)
Two 30ml bottles of Nautica Latitude Longitude. They were on sale at 5 euros each, so I grabbed one, liked it and got me another one, seeing that it's discontinued.
Harry Potter EDT, 2 bottles

CK be...I have 2 3.4oz bottles...but I'm also working on a 6.7oz bottle of CK one so even though it's all in one bottle I think I have more CKone than CKbe.

Speaking of big bottles...I also have about half of a bottle 4oz bottle of TM Cologne...and a 95% full 10oz bottle

I'm hoping to get a second bottle of Bvlgari Black for Christmas. I have half of a 2.5oz bottle @ the moment.
I own two bottles of Pi EdP - they were only £9 each, so I just couldn't turn down an offer like that!

I've also got two 50ml bottles of Havana.

I was thinking of buying a second 50ml bottle of Fumerie Turque but I'm still thinking about it...
DK Fuel - 3 bottles

Richard James - 3 bottles

Aramis Havana - 2 bottles

Helmut Lang Cuiron - 2 bottles

All except Richard James are due to their scarcity/discontinuation.

I never, EVER want to be without ANY of these four.
I have 2 of:
John Varvatos (1.7oz and 4.2oz)
Tea for Two (3.4oz and 1.7 but almost completely out of it)
Mechant Loup (3.4oz and 1.7oz)

Oh yeah! I forgot about my Brit stash. I have half of a 3.4oz bottle, a 1oz bottle that I bought from a friend who bought it blind & didn't like it, & another half bottle that's on the way. I bought that as part of a lot of 5 colognes. I plan on giving my dad the full 1oz bottle for Christmas.
I have backup bottles of Gucci Nobile and Hermès Rocabar.

My other bottle of Rocabar is very low, and the Nobile is discontinued and hard to find, so I snapped up a bottle I found. It's one my favorite green scents, very elegant and a smooth blend. I want to have some extra. I'm keeping it in the box and away from heat and light.

2 bottles of Mouchoir Monsoir
2 bottles of Jaipur

I figure that the 'cost' of perfume advertising, packaging, and juice are maybe 1:1:1, and consider 3.4 bottle most economical (thumb rule). Therefore I avoid having two bottles of the same for myself. They or I might not live forever.
Right now I have two bottles of Trussardi Uomo and 3 bottles of Halston 1-12. The Trussardi is hard to find and Halston 1-12 will soon be harder to find as well since it's been discontinued.

I need a straitjacket, that is certain. Seriously addicted Hamster. But of some scents I have more bottles because I use the Parfum, EDP and EDT. So, three bottles is not unusual. And Guerlain...it just was sensible to have a stash before they began to change formulas. I am glad I still have the 'old' Shalimar and Jicky.....And a Guerlain never turns in my experience. Well, maybe after fifty years?

Miyako (Annayake) : limited edition
Theorema (Fendi): will be discontinued or already is
Shalimar: wanted a stack of the 'old' formulation
Jicky: like Shalimar
Chamade: like Shalimar
First (Van Cleef & Arpels): uuhmm...several special editions, I suppose...
Pamplelune (AA Guerlain): Yes! Sale!! Never could resist. Have overdone it a bit, though
Chergui: already had a bell bottle but when you receive the limited export edition under the Christmas tree....Would you refuse?
Rahat Loukoum: using that one like water, so: bare necessity
Vetiver Oriental: same story as with the Chergui
Angelique Encens (TWO 250 ml. bottles!): will anybody believe SALE?
Amouage Silver (because it is discontinued)
Vaniglia, Bourbon & Mandarino di Sicilia: ordered it in Italy and with these shipping costs you better order more bottles
Eau d'Hadrien: DH uses this as well, so this is just sensible (please, say it is)
Chanel 5: no comment.

That Man by Revlon (Darn good stuff for a once inexpensive, now discontinued fragrance -- hard to find, though.)
Léonard pour Homme by Léonard (Will forever have a bottle or two -- if possible.)
Halston 1-12 by Halston (I really fear that it'll become impossible to find one day.)
Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves St. Laurent (YUM! Must thank Tom Ford . . .)
Dunhill For Men (2003) (Bought some for a really good price.)
Very Valentino for Men (")

Hmmm "I am half mad with shadows, said the Lady of Shalot"

Take out that "half".

I'm gonna figure that 1 for material, 1 for labor and one for profit may be the same rule that contractors use to work up an estimate. Of course, since the pyramids, you always get cost overuns (slave dies, nobody shows up after a 3 day weekend). There's always something gnawing at the profit. And if it's a good customer (Egypt) you'll go into the hole and use a lot of creative billing techniques and the next job.

What nose? On the Sphynx? you're sure? it's on your copy of the purchase order?...

2 Latitude Longitude
2 L'Occitane Vetyver (old)
2 YSL Pour Homme Haute Concentrate
2 minis of Green Water
1 mini, 1 90 ml bottle Newport
1 old, 1 new Guerlain Vetiver
2 Royal Copenhagen (that's how it came in the gift set, heaven knows why)

I think that's it. :/

Take out that "half".

That is because I am not allowed to look at Camelot, dear poet!
"But in her web she still delights...". Well, read 'scents' for web, and you see my point.
BTW, the Lady was 'half sick of shadows" as far as I remember, LOL. Adapting poor Tennyson??

But I suppose I asked for this with my horrible confession *whispers* I left some names out in order not to look like a complete nutcase (and don't even THINK of quoting Tennyson again )

Large backup bottles of Rive Gauche and Dunhill Edition. Considering backups of Dunhill 1934, M7, Egoiste, etc - ones that I think could be discontinued (or alternatively can be acquired cheaply).

Hmmm.. I would love a Havana - gupts where did you buy it in aus - i presume ebay?

Well, seems I'm nearly normal in this respect at least

2 Dominguez Agua Fresca (at only x Euros [insert low price here] who could resist yaddayadda...)

2 Dominguez EdT (they came in a 3 for 18 pounds offer, but they only had two left in stock )

2 Roger et Gallet 200ml EdC Extra Vieille. It's only cologne so there's a chance I might finish these both by 2030 .

2 Bois du Portugal. I like it ... so much.
I have two of lots of fragrances.

The one I have most of is Jaipur - 6 100ml bottles (including the EDT and light versions).

Dearest Riannon a madness shared is a madness halved, is it not? And you know that you are among so many similar nutters here that the denominator is v. big and the fraction therefore v. small. So it is all OK.

For example: I have 2 or more bottles of

Ungaro II and III

R de Capuccci (2)

KL by lagerfeld (2)

Badassarrini (3)

With things being watered down and discontinued daily you just know that the price of the good stuff is only going to rise so it makes sense to stock up!

Why, O why can't spouses understand that we are really saving money in the long run!!

*Sigh of relief*...I CAN look at Camelot! Thank you, dear Eluard, you took a weight off my fragile shoulders
But at the risk that you will 'hate me in the morning': my spouse not only understands my passion, he behaves like the Snake in Paradise : whenever I place an order I hear him whispering: ""Would you not rather take three bottles?". And....he goes out of his way to get me the latest scentsamples!! (oh, eat your heart out, guys! I really married a man who loves perfumes)
