Wow, two mentions of Boucheron Pour Homme EdP!

Had a chance to buy it dirt cheap, but since they had only EdT tester, I didn't go for it. I'm not that big fan of the EdT version. What are the main differences between the two? It should be alot better to be a real favourite though.

i had a funny experience where i sprayed this (as EdT version) onto a card and didn't care much for the topnotes, and kinda ruled it out immediately the first time i smelled it.

then i was at nordstrom's with a very helpful and knowedgable SA who listened to the stuff i liked and said "you have to try this - Boucheron EDP" and i was about to go "uh, no" but i just said "ok i'll give it another shot. this is different from the EdT, right?" she assured me it was. and so i did and decided it was nice, more amenable this time, but still didn't really have the OOMPH that i was looking for.

so then i was at the scentiments shop near my house and the nice man running the shop recommended it again, so i said - sure there must be something to this - and gave it another go. this time it struck me better, but i still wasn't too sure. went home after that and that night i kept smelling the back of my hand and it just kept getting better and better. by the time i went to sleep that night, i'd made up my mind that it'd be an immediate purchase the next day as soon as they opened shop. the rest, they say, is history.

the drydown on this one is to die for.

You want me to tell you more? Well, Boucheron Jaipur Homme is a spicy woody oriental. It requires no more than two sprays to be effective, possibly even one spray, at least in the EDP version, which is what I wear. Be careful not to overspray with this one. I have found that it is best to spray this fragrance on skin that is exposed to the open air, such as my arm when I am wearing a short sleeved shirt. I tried it once on my chest, and I thought the fragrance didn't have a chance to bloom sufficiently because it was kind of smothered by my shirt. Frankly, I have never tried the EDT version, so I cannot comment on that. I tried the EDP version and loved it, and have just stayed with that. For more commentary on what Jaipur Homme is like, I couldn't possibly improve on the many wonderful reviews by our fellow Basenoters in the BN directory:
http://www.basenotes.net/ID26120858&page=reviews

Here is a story about how I learned about Boucheron Jaipur Homme from my brother:
