Euphoria = D&G PH?

Just lacking the pepper blast. I tried Euphoria today and I SWEAR they are the same scent. Rushed? Only if you want to say they were rushed and so didn't make anything of their own, but just ripped off someone else.
Overall, I think Euphoria smells great. It's not a bad scent at all. What ruins it for me is that it smells way too similar to D&GPH. But heck, I'd still wear it.
I believe the reason everyone here hates it is a psychological one. The connotative mind is fooling you. You hate everything that Calvin Klein puts out just because it's under their brand name. I don't like most of their colognes either, but I think Obsession and Eternity Summer are pretty darn good. Sure, CK has been going downhill lately. But I think Euphoria is a great change from like.. Escape and Truth. Yeah? But you want to believe so badly that Euphoria is going to be another boring, bland, nothing special, rushed, poor quality fragrance that when you actually try it, you end up perceiving it that way because of the negative connotations you have already given it. It's absurd, really, and most of you who are guilty of it are going to deny it the second you think about it. I don't really know who among who has acted in such a way about it, nor do I care, but I'm just saying - I've seen reviews like that, and more often than not, that's why it happens. This is not true in all cases, of course, and you actually may just genuinely dislike it. That's cool. But I definitely don't think it smells rushed, lame, etc, and I believe the only reason everyone here is saying this about Euphoria is because they don't like the name Calvin Klein.

wow... you really got going there
yes i agree to a certain extent, but I actually dont mind Truth either

For me:
Euphoria = Gucci Rush
D&G = L'Homme YSL + something sweet

Euphoria lacks the tobacco of D&G PH. D&G PH IMO is much more complex with numerous notes in it's levels. Euphoria seems to be a simple (not many notes) fragrance which, yes, makes it seem rushed into production.

I actually tried it at Sephora yesterday and to me it was very fruity, I even told the SA that sprayed on me that I thought of a fruit salad when I smelled it. I did not get even a hint of either D&G PH or Rush, but maybe that's skin chemistry.

Since when is making a scent that is exactly like another one on the market a good thing?

I don't get the comparison of Euphoria & D&G PH either. It smells fresh & fruity...and to my nose smells a great deal like Eternity Summer. That's not a *bad* thing, mind you. I love ES. Euphoria smells great, but it doesn't smell unique enough to justify buying a bottle.

Giraffe - it's not a good thing. I don't think I said that. If I did, I meant to say that I still think it smells good even if it is a ripoff.
I think Euphoria is fruity to an extent. It dries down rather.. basic, smooth woody from what I experienced. I also pick up a lot of fruitiness in D&G PH, plus tobaccoblast, and a sharp essence that I feel is distinctly similar to the one in Euphoria.

After reading your post I desided to test Euphoria and D&G PH side by side.
I have to say that i did not notice any similarity between them. I also compared Euphoria with AdG and ... nope, they smell totally different to my nose. I agree with CologneJunkie that Euphoria smells like a bit warmer and sweeter Eternity Summer which I think one of the best summer editions. And when I first sampled Euphoria I thought of Polo Blue for some reason. Is it mainstream? Yes. Is it original? No. But it has something that is very appealing to me. I must be in the minority here but Euphoria for men is one of my favorite launches this year.

Me too.
I didn't catch any similarity with it and ES. D&G was the match to my nose. Odd.

Do people here really dislike CK products because they are CK products? I don't see that they do.

But test yourself out on Contradiction. Do you dislike it? And if you do, is it because it's by CK?

Euphoria doesn't smell anything like D&G Homme to my nose, nor does it have the great longevity of D&G homme and most other CK scents.

Five or six years ago, most people here really liked CK male stuff.
Nowadays - well, you know - niche scents, female scents - so CK doesn't cut it here any more.

Euphoria smells great...for 30 SECONDS!!

It totally evaporates on my skin. Not at all detectable after just a few minutes. I was really disappointed. Usually CK scents last on me.

I mean, NO SCENT AT ALL.

I'm in agreement with you on this...I feel the same way...it is very appealing and easy to wear. I have been seeking something with fruits and the strawberries I smell in Euphoria never get cloying, unlike the concoction that is Paris Hilton for Men (which I wanted to like based on some of the fruit-oriented recommendations here, but it soured on me very quickly.)
