I'm new to this place, and from browsing thus far it seems like a very well informed community. I've been buying "mini" colognes (~5 mL) from ebay to try out some of the more popular scents... this way I can try them on my own skin in small amounts, and revisit them if necessary. I'm a graduate student (21), so I work in an office/lab all day around other students of all ages, if that makes any difference.
I'm trying to come up with a rotation for myself, consisting of the following:
Everyday summer cologne
Everyday winter cologne
Summer evening
Winter evening
Going out/clubbing/date/romantic/formal cologne
Thus far, I've tried the following (with my thoughts on them included)
Issey Miyake - love it!
Acqua di Gio - boring, don't like it
Drakkar Noir - too strong, too "old"
Fahrenheit - interesting, don't know what to think of it
Gucci Envy - love it!
Swiss Army - love it!
Azzaro Chrome - like it
ckOne - like it
Cool Water - like it
I've still got A*Men, D&G pour homme and Givenchy Pi to try.
What would you all recommend based on what I like in dislike for the categories I put above? I realize the categories often overlap, and optimally I'd like to keep my collection down to 3 or 4.
