Lolita Lempika, Opinions?

Is it as sweet or spicy as something like Opium. I love a little spice, but have gotten tired of a whole lot of spice. Nothing wrong with Opium, I'm just tired of that much spice. What does it remind you of, for instance, and do you like it?

It's nothing like Opium. It is sweet, soft, powdery, with a bitter nudge of anise for a delightful (IMO) contrast.

I totally agree with this description. I love it too, though I don't wear it often at the moment. The closest I have found to it is Caron Aimez-Moi. Lolita Lempicka is a sweeter Aimez-Moi without violets.

I think that LL is about the only fragrance that's overwhelmingly sweet or licoricy for me. My goodness, why is it I can't love it?
I love the idea of it. I love Aimez Moi, I always have! So what is it about LL I can't love?

I'm going out today to re-sample it again! By goodness I will try to love it again...

Will update my report findings tomorrow .

That really does sound good. I did not mean that it smelled like Opium, for I know that it doesn't. I have had it in the past, a small vial and forgotten. What I meant was, is it as spicy as Opium because for some odd reason, I have not been able to take an over abundance of spice lately. Anyway, thank you for your answers.

Not like Opium at all. LL is sweet anise/licorice and tonka bean. I just tried it this year for the first time. I didn't expect to like the anise note but I do. For me, it's a soothing soft fragrance, and I definitely pick up the romantic haunted woods fairytale vibe to it. I think it's a beautiful scent.

This is a really good description, imo, especially the fairy tale comparison. I swapped with Djuna for a bottle of this without having really tested it, and was happy to really love it. I have been wearing it the last few days layered with Bulgari Black, which has a darker smokey vanilla to it, and I find that it extends the longevity for me.
The only drawback to Lolita for me has been that it doesn't last as long as I would like, but maybe that is a trade off for its beautiful sweet softness.
I highly recommend this.

Okay so tonight on my way home from work, I'm thinking about Lolita and can't get it out of my head! I make a detour and... well the rest will be history in the making. I'm buying a bottle tomorrow or Friday at the latest! I've fallen for her .

Thank you TDDanae

Oh and I know that by now you've gotten your answer on it not smelling anything like Opium, to me it's more like... well it's just delicious.

My chemistry has drasticly changed in the last 6 months so many fragrances that were not as great on me are amazing now.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Thanks a bunch Goddess and all. I've been so danged busy lately with some personal stuff but I did manage to get a good sized bottle of Lolita along with several other frags. I hope they last as long as I do. It would make me sick to see them turn. It would be like a slow death, ha like the drama?

Tonight/today I'm wearing Lolita.

After dinner my mom got a whiff of it while I was putting away the dishes and she commented how the scent I'm wearing reminded her of something her mother used to wear when she was a child... She took a deeper whiff of it and stood in astonishment of how much it reminded her of something my grandma wore... and now Lolita is even more special to us.

I could not thank you enough for putting that smile on my mom's face.
