of your listed daytime scents, I think the first three make an absolutely excellent daytime rotation. Bulgari for a default, Live Jazz for when its scorching, and Guerlain Vetivier when you want to be just a little bit noticed.

Your evening scents are excellent too: alle Beide sind ,,was anders" m7 is medicinal and sharp, but then drops off in a dramatic way to something deeply sexy. Zino has a melancolic vibe t it, you may like, you may not.

I like Bulgari Pour Homme, Mugler Cologne (particularly), and Terre D'Hermes (which I think is versatile enough to be both a daytime and evening fragrance).

All of these, with the exception of TdH, can be bought very cheaply on the internet - don't pay full price! Most for $20 US or so for a good size bottle.

Your night choices? Yes, M7 is very nice, haven't decided on Zino yet. YSL Body Kouros, Gucci Envy, Gucci PH and Guerlain Heritage would all be nice evening frags which can be bought very affordably.

Oh yes, Aramis is definitely a must have. If this is not a nice classic I do not know what is! It is my signature scent (right now).

Plus it is not that expensive and there are a lot of other products in the Aramis-line, that you can enjoy.

Mugler Cologne und Kenzo sind mir persönlich zu allzuleicht.

weiterhin würde ich Dir ein paar Exoten empfehlen:
Acqua di Portofino (frisch grün-maritim, elegant, selten, manchmal sehr günstig bei ebay zu haben)

Adolfo Dominguez Vetiver Hombre (Frische wie sie eleganter nicht geht. Leider nicht in D erhätlich, nur manchmal über ebay)

Clinique Happy for Men (sehr schöner orangiger Zitrusduft).

Richard James Eau de Toilette (sehr edel, British Gentleman pur, frisch plus Leder plus floral, war eine Zeitlang spottbillig auf ebay zu haben, obwohl es eigentich sehr teuer ist)

Acqua di Parma, Colonia (frisch & elegant, leider teuer))

L'Occitane, Vetyver (IMO viel besser als Guerlain's, erdig aber frisch, schöne Gewürzanklänge im Hintergrund. Nicht teuer, ca. 30 Euro)

Crown Perfumery - sehr klassische englische Düfte. Sandrigham ist perfekt, zitrus-holz-leicht floral, hinreißend. Extrem zitrisch, dann elegant puderig ist Imperial, Kräuterig-lavendelig Town&Country, kräuterig-bitter Eau de Quinine.

Falls Du mal in einen größeren Douglas kommst, probier dort spaßeshalber mal die Parfüms von Creed, über die hier viel geredet wird. Sehr teuer, aber teilweise das Beste was es gibt und über ebay dann oft zum halben Preis zu haben. Vorsicht, Suchtgefahr

Und falls Du an Abfüllungen interessiert bist - ich mache gerade meinen Laden dicht siehe unten), aber bis Ende des Jahres biete ich noch an.

Gendarme 20 is a great choice & a little more interesting than the Gendarme EDT
Terre D'Hermes is just awful to my nose
I would rather go for something like Cool Water (yes it is a cheap copy of Creed GIT, but I assume that GIT is beyond the budget?)
Only problem with Cool Water is that it was a bit too common - but the rise of the aquas have changed this a bit - may no longer be a problem


Herrera for Men is better than Paco XS


Definitely New York - great stuff


YSL M7 - why not?


Keep the Lagerfield, but lose the Rococo
I would substitute A*Men for the Rococo as a casual night fragrance

- Guerlain Vetiver (great sillage) - classic, distincitive, not for everyone, but fresh, soapy
- Armani Eau PH ( fresh & spicy ) - the greatest citrus IMO, better than Eau Sauvage or YSL PH, phenomenal drydown of spice and wood without the "body odour note" of the others
Gucci Pour Homme (winter ) - great wood and incense frag
Lanvin L'Homme - don't own it, but very clean and business like without being too aquatic or boring, probably don't need this and Bvlgari, choose one as they serve the same purpose

NO

- Chanel Allure / Burberry Brit / Armani Code - better sweet orientals around

Summer:

YES

- Terre D'Hermes (great sillage - also for evening and summer) - in my top 5, a phenomenally good frag IMO
- Gendarme / Gendarme 20 - boring, wear Bvlgari or Lanvin instead
- Davidoff CoolWater - not bad, but a bit common in the company of your other suggestions

Casual:
- Paco Rabanne XS ( 1993 office and after hours - LongLasting) - great frag, only just got it myself, cheap, longlasting
- Burberry London - nice stuff
- YSL Live Jazz (don't last) - not bad, but you have better ones in your list
- Echo by Davidoff / Higher by Dior / Azarro Chrome / twice (iceberg) - why bother?
- Opium YSL - too sweet without the character of Body Kouros
- Bvlgari Aqva / Acqua Di Gio - nothing wrong with them

SmartCasual & Formal:
- Patricia de Nicolaï New York (1989) - haven't smelled it, apparently similar to Bois du Portugal which I own and love
- Chanel Pour Monsieur (1955) - love it, a true classic, I'd go for the concentree but others would disagree
- Givenchy Gentleman (1974 great sillage & conspicuous - only winter) - don't buy blind, very distinctive patchouli note, I like it but don't often find occasion to wear it
- Dunhill Edition (1984 spicy/woody) - MUST BUY, brilliant brilliant frag and quite cheap
- Paco Rabanne PH - pretty good but others are better
- YSL Kouros - too controversial

Ummm... VE is an amazing fragrance, and IMO much better than GV because it does not have that tobacco note, but are you aware that you have just broken the bank?
It is a very expensive fragrance.

If fragrances like F.Malle are on the menu, then Serge Lutens, L'Artisan, MPG, Diptyque etc should also be on the menu which would give you many different recommendations...

Another great value contender for your "Evening, Night" category could be Ungaro III - which I prefer to M7.

What a great fragrance list you have there.

I would knock off one of the bvlgari's, the Dunhill, and A*Men which I find tacky and somewhat offensive (especially since your other evening fragrances are already awesome).

I wish I had a list like that when I started, I would've saved a lot of time and money.

First, I'd also like to welcome you to the fragrance world's most comprehensive Internet site. You've made a wise choice in soliciting the opinions from all corners of the globe (pretty cool, huh? )

Regarding one of your initial concerns...cost. If you were to actually calculate the cost of 1 day's use of a fragrance, I think you'll find it to be far less than a cup of coffee or a pack of smokes...not to mention libations, dining out, etc., so don't allow the cost to be the determining factor as to whether you buy a frag or not. Bois du Portugal is probably 20 times the cost of Dunhill edition, but I own both.

My personal recommendation would be to select 5-6 frags from your list and find samples either from a supplier here or from your local department store and try them for several days before committing to buy anything.

Based on your original post, you've received some very sound advice thus far, however, many of the recommendations will leave you smelling like many other people you know. I think you'd be happier finding something a little more obscure and distinctive.

I'm not sure if these have been posted yet, but I'd recommend Geir...a little goes a lonnnnnng way and it could be a little aggressive.
Lalique pour Homme, light and pleasant
Casharel pour L' Homme, a little bolder than Lalique, but again...pleasant
Parfums de Nicholai New York, Nice evening wear and generally inoffensive.
And the one "must have" and get it while you still can or kick yourself in the butt for not buying it is....Patou pour Homme. It's a true can't miss frag. If you don't like it, buy it as an investment. Either way, you can't lose.

I hope I didn't complicate your decision making process further.

Umm, Oh yeah... You might hook up with some Knize Ten? I haven't seen it available anywhere in quite a while...except in Germany. You might want to try that one too.
