It seems I love Oriental frags...Does anyone have any suggestions I could try?
Opium was tad too strong, Vetiver by Jo Malone...not flowery enough...just looking for a touch, Sicily by D&G...tired of (if that is even Oriental) I am new to forum. But I have always been a devote to The Frag! Thanks
PS Love bergamot

If you haven't tried Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, I would recommend it. It is a very delicious, lovely floral oriental!

I second JPG Classique. Very, very nice, and suitable for every occasion. This is my sister-in-law's HG and it's wonderful on her. It also has great sillage and staying power.

Shalimar is a vanilla oriental with a boost of Bergamot in the topnotes. Other orientals I love is Nu by YSL.A bit spicy with bergamot notes, a touch of leather, vanilla etc etc.Worth a try both of them

First thought was Opium, have you tried the summer ones. How about Tom Ford Youth Dew Amber Nude??Love that one too. I guess you just have to sample

Parfum Sacre by Caron. Lemon, spice, rose, vanilla, but deep and gorgeous.

Guerlain Vol de Nuit is one of my favorites.

Boucheron is a beautifully balanced floriental (floral oriental).

I am infavour for the Oriental scents too, here are my likes:
Opium - Fleur De Shanghai - YSL
Opium - Fleur Impériale - YSL (these two are on the lighter side)
Nu - YSL (neroli, bergamot, cardamom topnotes with a bit of incense)
Shalimar - Guerlain
Shalimar - Eau Légère Parfumée - Guerlain
Samsara - Guerlain (on the strong side)
Vol de Nuit - Guerlain
CoCo - Chanel (very spicy)
Gaultier - JPG
Grand Amour - Annick Goutal
Chinatown - Bond No. 9 (a bit sweet, but I like the faint cherry blossom)
Frangipane - Chanticalle (IMHO, very deliciously composed with Frangipani Blossom, Ylang-Ylang and Vanilla)
Tiare - Chantecaille (topnotes: Lily-of-the-Valley, Italian Bergamot and Tiare flower... also beautifully orchestrated)
Due - Christian Dior (I used to own this, this one has bergamot)
Miami Glow - J.Lo
Flower by Kenzo
Summer by Kenzo
Fleurs de citronnier - Serge Lutens
Pink Sugar - Aquolina
Eau de Merveilles - Hermes
Le Feu d'Issey - Issey Miyake (topnotes: bergamot, coconut, anise, rosewood... an very interesting scent, lovely space age bottle, but it is definately not love-at-the-first sight type of scent)
Birmane - Van Cleefs & Arpels (topnotes: bergamot, pineapple, rosewood and lemon)
I guess my list could go on forever, there are just too many in the market. You might like to do a directory search in BN to pull out some bergamot oriental frags from there. Happy sniffing and searching!

Welcome to Basenotes, leda2u2! I hope you will enjoy it here!

You have got sooo many good sugestions... Yet I want to ad two more, as both of them are orientals with bergamot in their topnotes.
Prada - "dry" and dark.
Cristobal by Balenciaga - very, very female.
I would second Cristobal and add Roma (Laura Biagiotti) - a crisp
oriental with top notes of bergamot, blackcurrant leaves and a
whisper of mint. Very unusual and distinctive.

Welcome welcome!! :bounce:

Suggestion: why not post your wardrobe and let's see what you've already got? (I was all set to justify purchases of all sorts for the next SnS when a kind BNer pointed out I've already got several Orientals in my 'drobe!)

I second that suggestion! i'd love to see what you've already got...
Until then, I can give you a couple of suggestions, but I don't know if you already have either of them...
Obsession (Calvin Klein) - it's one of those that you'll either love or hate, but it's an oriental with a bergamot top note
In Control Curious (Britney Spears) - a really nice oriental - i was surprised that i actually liked it!! lol (no bergamot, but i think there's some sort of citrus in there)

That's all I can recommend for now hope that helps

Misuki....I adore Misuki
I must secound Kewart with Roma by Laura Biagotti! It is a very unique Oriental!
Serge Lutens Chergui is lovely, if you find it too heavy I'd suggest Etra by Etro (a light spicy scent).
I just bought Samsara Shine - great deals on it on Ebay. It is really pretty and might be what you are looking for. Definitely oriental but without the heavy woody smell.
