There has to be some organized way to take these eBay scammers off the market past just posting their names and links to their negative feedback.
Yes, I have a bone, just getting burned. Only after a unsigned snipe at me, did I wonder about the buyer. With 2000+ positives, how's it possible to wade through all that to find the 35 accusations of fakes? In basenotes, I find a reference to this buyer and I blanche. Too late, but at least I had a hunch that I might actually be getting a counterfeit, and not get the bottle and oooh wow this is beautiful. The clincher for me and I am so thankful for it, was the link to toolhaus.org, where you put in the seller's id and with a click, all the negatives.
There are a lot of good points made about the Creed G.I.T. scam, with great pictures and detailed things for us to look for. My SMW fit the descriptions perfectly. Packaging cheap with misspellings every side, and the bottle'd been tampered, very obvious change in the nozzle, and the cap with a fake crest!
But Really, everyone, I'm trying to go beyond poor-little-ole-me. It's a lesson I appreciate, and a cheap lesson, only $50. Both eBay and Paypal are making this very difficult. They simply tell me to return it to seller for a refund. Simple as that! But they aren't planning on doing an investigation, or are they? How can that happen if I return the counterfeit? With that attitude, it doesn't seem as if they really care about a clean market, do they?
Stop for comments.
