Given how much time I spend on the Web (Basenotes included), I tend to need a good office chair.
I've had a dot-com surplus (read: I got it used at a huge discount off the obscene price) Herman Miller Aeron chair for about 4 1/2 years now. Even though the tilt limiter handle broke off a few months ago, it still works great and is very comfy. Even the slightly less expensive Mirra isn't as comfy as the Aeron.
But most of us Basenoters don't have the $700+ to spend on an Aeron, as we use most of our hard-earned cash on our beloved smellies. So, we have to make do with the $99 special from Staples, Office Depot, and the like. These can be a mixed bag: some can be really good, while others are miserable. I chose an $89 chair from Staples a while back for my mom that is nice... it's no Aeron, but it's still decent.
So, what kind of office chair do you have sitting next to your computer?
